Favorites/Collections Export

The favorites/collections export tool is now online. On the top right of the page on any of your collections you will find a link to "Export Collection". This will generate a JSON file containing ever item in the collection, including things that were removed. Each item also includes a link to the FAKKU API where you can find all of the meta data associate with that item.

Although I don't have a favorites collection, I appreciate the fact that a tool for saving your fav list is now available. This should address the questions/complaints in this thread.

I agree or put it in the banner at the top similar to the achievement retirement because I can guarantee people will still ask "export tool where?" otherwise.

If you have firefox install the jsonviewer and drag the json file into firefox for a more readable format

If I may, it might be worth to pin this to the top, so people can see it straight up. Or make a mini announcement on the front page or something, just so more people are aware, and you get less sads.

But otherwise, decent.
Soooo many favourites to go through... 800 titles

800 titles? gezz... tedious working to sort this out but at least you can view the images in the API. Well probably better just to drag it and create a folder for images..

So how do i do anything with the file? I opened it with notepad, but i have no idea what I'm looking at. I noticed a couple of the titles of the removed favorites i had. Do i have to go through the file and find all the titles, or is there a more convenient way to do this?

Ideally someone will build a tool that can do more with the export, that's all we can provide.

Which web browser are you using? There are add-ons for Firefox that make reading JSON files significantly easier.

So I was going through the export and I realized that some of my favorites are missing from it. One example is that I know for a fact that I had several favorites from Saitom but when I looked through the list I only found 1. This happened with several other artists as well...Is this intentional? Is it because they were removed for being unlicensed and not because of tags?

Yes things that were removed as a result of DMCA are not included.

Does this really have all the items ever? I just decided to export mine finally and the JSON file seemed to only have my remaining favorites. I distinctly remember having a Witch Craft Works doujin in my favorites, several Kirintei works, and I think more Sperm Star chapters, but the only ones in the JSON file are the ones in my favorites that weren't removed.

It should include all favorites. Most of my favorites were taken down and the json file includes most of them.(I say most at the chance of possibly forgetting some they or may not appear included)

Yeah, I dunno, I also had all the Two Siblings Fera Pure as favorites and two Eva doujinshi and they're not there either.
