Did fakku recently change servers? Recently the site loads slower than usual and the reader temporarily loads nothing or very very slow...

I have just noticed something with editing comments in the last two days. When I got back into edit a comment on a story, the html tags (br, nbsp, etc.) show up (without brakets) and if will be saved and displayed as plain text when you save the comment.

Definitely seems that way. I miss my 500 download speed at Uni. I think they need to optimize the sight to be a little bit faster. Oh, and a Fakku app on iOS would be great. Could Fakku books on iBooks be a thing someday? That'd be sweet.

They have said that both IOS and android will not allow adult apps.

You can have all the books and Doujinshi you have bought in the iBooks app.

Just download the book in question and open the PDF file with the iBooks app.

I have found it easier to just download it on a Mac and upload to your iBooks, make sure your iCloud settings have your iBooks synced across all devices.

I guess my Iphone 6s won't cut it. I keep trying but it fails to open. I plan on getting an Ipad so maybe I'll have more success there.

Hopefully it works for you but for me whether I am using an iPhone 7 or iPad Pro it doesn't work.

It always times out the download...except once.

However if you download the PDF for doujinshi on your phone all of them will work cause they are smaller files. Then you just have to open in iBooks.

Edit: You could (and this is a long shot) download the file on your regular coputer/laptop then sign into your iCloud email.

Then email yourself to your iCloud email the PDF book file.

Then open your email on your phone redownlaod the PDF from the mail app and then open in iBooks.

That may work.

I just realized I posted this in the wrong place.

Just tried this and it did work without any issues. I got the full 202 pages of Saitom's Let's Do It on the iBooks app. I also imported into Kindle app and again, worked flawlessly. Nice job on the heads up.

Issue with links on notifications:

I received a notification "You received blah on your comment on blah". When I follow the link for "your comment":
https://www.fakku.net/manga/stick-it-in-here-english#18620

I am taken to the correct story, but it does not jump down to the anchor (I am assuming each comment has an anchor tag).

the "2 pages when possible" mode broke for the vast majority of magazine chapters a bit over a month ago from what I can tell.

magazine chapters start with page 1 by itself on the left, before becoming two page spreads until the last page which is a single page on the right side. When you have two pages side by side, the gutter is in the middle of the two pages so that it's readable when the physical magazine is bound. Sometimes, artists will put big reveals on the right-side page so you don't accidentally spoil yourself by glancing over when you have the book open to two pages.

It appears the default changed to page 1 and 2 facing each other instead of page 1 by itself and pages 2 and 3 facing each other.

This doesn't appear to be the case on chapters that have 2 page spreads because I guess the reader will start with 2 pages that have to face each other and work its way in pairs to the beginning/end of the chapter.

But it's worth noting that for non-magazine chapters (doujinshi/books/digital-first releases), the page parity may be different due to cover pages, etc. so if the only way to change page parity is with double page spreads, you should make it a feature request to be able to set the parity, I suppose.

tl;dr: most magazine chapters in "two pages when possible" mode should be 1, 2-3, 4-5, etc. but the majority of them today are 1-2, 3-4, etc.

That's the problem I have for many books with my reader as well. The double pages are very often not the correct pages.
Hope you guys can check the books/ doujinshi or we could check and report them?

Is there a way to lock the reader settings to your account? So far, I've only been reading in incognito mode so I don't know if it saves them as a cookie.

Haveing trouble reading digital online comes up java error null reference wont load

The reader gets stuck at the "Loading..." stage each time I try reading anything. Was using Firefox 54.0.1 (32-bit) with Private Browsing on but switched to Incognito Mode with Chrome 59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit). Then I tried taking Incognito mode off too, but nothing. It's been loading a comic the whole time I've been typing this.
(This has been happening since yesterday 5 PM PST or so.)

Trying to download purchased items as a PDF doesn't work either, and takes me back to the front page with no download. Granted, I've never tried that before, so it could be a separate issue. The rest of the Internet loads images and comics just fine.

Can confirm that loading issues exist in private modes (or rather when you're logging in on a "fresh" browser) on both Firefox and Chrome. We're looking into it.

EDIT: Problem should be solved now! Thanks for pointing it out.

Thanks for fixing it so quickly!

Searching seems to be differnt now. I tried searching for "mother" (don't judge) and got "no results returned" even though I know there are several stories with mother in the titile (per the suggestion list that pops up).

Hmm the reader seems bugged and gets stuck on loading. Happening with every comic i tried.

For some reason the reader has started for me to jump back to page 2 when changing pages after scrolling with the up/down keys (but not when scrolling with the mouse wheel)...

Was the reader changed recently? I can no longer find the option to turn off smooth scrolling and when I'm at the bottom of a page and press left to go to the next page it returns me to page 2, no matter which page I'm on.

Edit: Beaten by 5 minutes.
