Smuggins Just Some Guy
Will it be subtitled or dubbed?

I love manga, but still, seems like a natural direction. Congrats!

Keep the books coming and I am happy!

This is awesome news! Along with all of other holiday purchases, 2017 is going to end on a high note.

So does this mean that? My regular sub fee covers for the Hentai too or is there gonna be a new payment for this? Just curious. "I'll be posting more details soon" but yeah that is my biggest concern here. (The fees)

YES! Finally! I've been waiting for this forever!
Thank you Fakku. Long life and prosperity!

As per the press release,

FAKKU plans to make Kitty Media titles available to users through their existing online subscription service at no additional cost. Additionally FAKKU will offer DRM-free digital purchases of each title.

So, yes, if you already have a subscription you will get the anime section for no additional cost.

I am so excited for this - not just for the library and convenience, but for all of the parties involved. Having met the Media Blasters folks at conventions, I am thrilled to see a beneficial partnership for them. Well done, Jacob! You done changed the game for the better. Here's to a great 2018!

Dang! I was looking forward to having physical copies of uncensored Hentai with my favorite logo F!

Will Fakku work to acquire new licenses to keep increasing the collection of H anime here on Fakku after this? If so, will newly acquired anime be high quality (Kitty Media has released blu-rays recently, whatever the highest quality possible is that the source can provide I guess is what I mean) and uncensored? There's tons of stuff I'd like to see get uncensored so if this is the case I'm pretty excited for the future lol.

Quality will really depend on the sources we get. I'm doing my best to make things look as nice as possible but there is a limit to how much you can do with older titles that don't exactly have pristine sources...

What're the chances of us getting (quality) english dubs out of this deal as well?

I confess that I'm not quite sure what to think of this. In principle, getting hentai anime is of course great, and DRM-free digital downloads of hentai anime is definitely great, but from what I can tell, Media Blasters / Kitty Media has been barely alive for a while now to the point that any time they announce anything, you have to wonder whether it's actually going to ever arrive - and even when they do manage to release something, it's not uncommon for it to be delayed. I'd very much like to see Media Blasters / Kitty Media be healthier, since they have released plenty of great stuff over the years, and them buying FAKKU may very well help with that, but on the other hand, I certainly wouldn't want FAKKU to get dragged down by them if they finally go down the drain.

If this goes well, it could very well mean that we'll get more hentai anime released in the US, which would be fantastic (especially since no one has been releasing much hentai anime in the US in recent years), but it does make me nervous.

"Itadaki! Seieki" has a dub (idk if official or not) that I've skipped through and it seemed alright to me, definitely better than when older H anime was dubbed in english with porn stars lol. Can't really tell if it was official or not because dubbed H anime is already rare as it is, so no one really takes the time to document it online if it is.

Other way around, FAKKU bought them.

Ah. I misread then. Thanks for correcting me. That would then mean that the main concern would then be how dealing with hentai anime affects FAKKU's bottom line. So long as they really could afford to buy Kitty Media from Media Blasters, and they manage this well, then it should be a good thing. I suppose that the main question then is how this will affect Blu-ray releases (Kitty Media did physical releases only and finally started doing Blu-ray releases recently). If we're going to get DRM-free full-res downloads out of the deal, then Blu-ray matters less, but there are some advantages to having stuff on Blu-ray, and some of the market is going to want Blu-rays and not digital downloads - though there are certain risks posed by physical releases with regards to stuff like producing enough beforehand (while not overproducing) that digital downloads don't have. I won't shed a single tear if there are no DVD releases though (even if a show isn't actually in HD) - especially if the digital downloads are properly progressive as opposed to interlaced.
