There was actually an Illya route planned for F/SN's VN and they got as far as the first H-scene. Nasu decided against it in the end however and Illya's scenes from her route got reworked to fit in the other routes(namely Heaven's Feel).Yeah, she was supposed to be the main character of heavens feel originally, if I'm not mistaken? But he's watching the anime, which mostly follows the fate route, and of course there's no delicious loli action in that one.
Still pissed off at Makiri Zouken, he was the worst kind of evil asshole.
BTW I have the realta nua patch, and played through every scene, but unlike the fully patched game, i seem to be missing the voice acting. Am I missing files somehow?
Also is there a version of tsukihime's old VN with voice acting? Since I'm spoiled from the voice acted VNs

Matou Zouken is no different than Emiya Kiritsugu, the only difference is that he chose the person he loved rather than humanity.
Probably has something to do with how you installed the game, there are certain options to remove music/voice files to make installation faster and make the folder take up less space. Make a copy of your save files and re-install the game keeping an eye out for options like that.
The source you got it from could have also been bad, the files could have been corrupted and removed by your security during installation(or security was just acting silly). Re-install while keeping an eye on your security history or download from a reliable medium.
Try different compatibility modes. Do App-locale, change your location to Japan, Unicode settings and all that jazz.

Well, granted, if I were in his position, i'd probably do the same thing as Zouken. Basically, no right to criticize. But still think he's evil.
Also, I re-installed it without my anti-virus security temporarily and now voice acting is working properly for all scenes. Thanks for the info ^_^

No one has mentioned Barakamon. Clearly you're all absolute faggots.I am IN LOVE with that anime. It had me in fits of giggles right from the start.

I'm in the middle of watching Fate/Stay night (just to make myself familiar with the series). The reward for my efforts is the loli yuri makeouts.
Just skip straight to the loli?
I don't understand why people think F/SN is a prerequisite for F/K since the two are in separate universes having their own sufficient explanations to stand upon and story is not what you are watching the F/K for.
Even if they aren't the same continuity, they're still related and part of an overall series.
Besides, I've gotten into F/SN. I've wanted to pick up the series for a while but this just gave me motivation to do so, and I like it so they've gained another follower. I don't see how that's a bad thing or why you're arguing against it.

Please tell me you're playing the F/SN VN and not watching the anime.

And what would your reaction to either response be?

Well if you're watching the anime, you're a fag who's only getting the shit third of the story told badly.

I doubt F/SN is a prerequisite to F/K. Isn't it just cheap yuri pandering with loose references to the Fate universe?
Not that I'll watch it...I'll stick with ufotable renditions.

My favorites so far are Tokyo Ghoul and Glasslip. This could change, as I plan on watching Barakamon, Terror in Resonance, Aldnoah Zero, and of course Hanamonogatari at some point.

I've really been enjoying Barakamon, Fate/Kaleid Zwei, Yama no Susume 2, Hanayamata, and Sabagebu. It's hard for me to pick a favorite though. Maybe Yama no Susume.

You are right its very loosely related to F/SN. I played the first hour of the F/SN VN and that's all that is needed to have a solid understanding of references to the other Fate works. The yuri fanservice isn't really present in season 1 as much as it is in season 2. That said, its magical girls + Fate so its nowhere near ground-breaking or breath-taking but it does have a decent enough plot to make viewers watch to the end of season 1. Calling F/K a money grab wouldn't be a stretch.

Same nasuverse, different universe.
Once again, as a warning, you'll find no sweet yuri loli action in Fate/Stay Night.
Also, as an update, I've caught up on Zankyou... new favorite for anime of the season.
Fate/Stay Night is good if you want to get all the references to the class cards and why certain characters are relevant. Fate Illya actually draws plot and references from F/0, F/SN and F/HA

That does not change the fact that I believe it's pointless to watch F/SN before F/K. F/K takes more from the VN than the anime, for example Alter Saber has only appeared in the VN(and not the anime) and does a cameo in F/K. What it does take is already explained within the F/K series with enough to live by F/K standards. It's true that I'm happy you are interested in the series and certainly I must be a fool to even consider advising you on how to spend your time, but it is my firm opinion that F/K before F/SN based upon your motivation to watch F/K is a fruitless endeavor.
I partially agree with Bagman. My problem with F/SN's anime is that it's awkward and it's only 1/3rd of the VN. The awkward part is pretty much Deen's fault for making scenes with long pauses, strange expressions on the character faces or just downright weirdness(Shirou tripping in a hallway with nothing in it). The problem with having only 1/3 the VN is that the story has a massive overarching plot which pieces together when all the routes are completed (there's even a True End for doing that). Only watching Deen's adaptation will give you a portion of the story leaving large holes in the plot which are filled by the other routes that the anime lacks. I discourage people from the anime because starting with the VN gives the full experience and while the VN is no polished gem it is better than the anime.
My disagreement with Bagman is that the worst route is UBW. Tohsaka not tsundere enough and didn't let Shirou cum inside, among some other things.
