Evolution explains the diversity of life. It does not explain how it started or where it came from.

If you want to know how life started, look at the Theory of Abiogenesis, of course, that theory itself is very incomplete. However, it's better to say "I don't know, but we're working to find out" instead of "MAGIC MAN DID IT!"
