Do you have it written on paper, signed in blood?Otherwise any lawyer will tell you that nothing was promised, and nothing will be done.

The Anime spectrum sure has gotten really wild since back in the day. I wanna show you guys some comparisons and tell me what you think and what most appeals to you. What kind of Art were you more into when you first started getting into Anime/Manga? has your opinion changed since you've gotten older.
All the artists below in one way or another can trace their roots to Anime styled art, but as you can see they all took very different directions. There's different levels of facial feature details, some of the Artists decided to push towards more realistic faces, paying closer attention to features like the nose and eyes, do you like this or hate it?
As a man where would you like to see Anime Art go. In Games, Manga and animation.
Keunju Kim (Rabbit Eyes) -- Conceptual Artist.
Hector Sevilla (Elsevilla)
Hyung Tae Kim -- NCSoft Conceptual Artist
RedJuice
Eiji Tsukasa -- Visual Key Conceptual Artist
Noizi Ito
Cellar-FCP

Can't edit my post for some reason... >_<... Anyhow i forgot to put in my opinion.
When i was younger i found i was more interested in standard anime art, if you look at it they take out alot of imperfections in the human face, for example most Anime artists try not to put to much detail on the noses and alot of them don't even draw the nostrils. They'll also remove things like dimples etc. etc.
Toning and shading is typically kept lighter it creates more of a bright and happy picture if you compare say Noizi Ito's art to Rabbit Eyes, you kind of get a different depth or feeling from both of them.
Now i think i prefer more sober and realistic styles of art, i'm still an Anime guy at heart though so some exaggeration is preferred, still love those Anime Eyes.

DicksI know I have one.
As for your question, IvI, I used to like Noizi Ito-like art.
However, I am a huge fan of any art like Hyung Tae Kim, RedJuice, and Cellar.
My favorite artist ever though, is easily Yasushi Suzuki, if you know him.
Goth's Cage is one of my favorite "art books". (It has short stories in it with fantastic art.)

Someone should tell Hyung Tae Kim he should work on H-mangas, his god-tier art is just calling for some.
But yea, I tend to appreciate more realistic art nowadays. But i'm still open to everything, since I always favour content to art.

I enjoy concept art immensely, especially that which balances between outright fantasy and realism.
But for the most part, I just find art that I like. Coloring plays a big part. I unusually won't save an art that is awfully colored, unless it's mightily good at some other aspect.

@mrprince04 - Ya i've heard of him before, haven't seen the artbook though, that looks promising.
@Hentanize - Oh god... If he did an H-manga... >_<.. that would be so sweet.
@Room101 - I agree on the coloring thing, it's one of the most important parts of the Art IMO.

It isn't bad to make animes more realistic.
