Buuu what an anticlimax. But I rarely see any girls holding or doing lewd stuff with flight sticks. It sounds like a good idea.

I think it might be some kind of eagle.
I think. It's pretty deformed.

I am sorry to go off topic but the fact that the gamemakers would like to limit their market to a certain location (Japan) or a certain console (Nintendo consoles) fascinates me. I think it is definitely much more than Japan's obsession with a homogeneous Japanese society (pardon me for the stereotype). Yuuki, you play the game, do you have any knowledge as to why the makers wouldn't allow people outside of Japan to play their games?
Possible reasons:
1, Increased risk to piracy? (pun much intended, perhaps you can get me to roleplay a Somali or an Indonesian pirate?)
2, Not being able to keep up with demand with a global market?
PS: I have started an argument with Kaimax over pretty much the same subject on whether it makes sense to limit games to one market or one console. So I thought it is a good idea to start another argument here, against good judgement, as usual.

Wait let me gather my thoughts.
-One reason is probably because they see outsiders as 'barbarians' in regards to online games. Specially in Flipland MMOs, the community there is very hostile.
-Japanese people are extremely polite even at Online Games(I played a few japanese online games so I kinda know).
> One example is they always say "Yoroshiku"(Pleased to work with you) whenever we form a party,
> There's this PS3 game 'Dark Souls' I think, Japanese would make their characters bow to each other before dueling. But Western people just fight immediately, like barbaric motherfuckers.
-Localization costs money, and companies wouldn't probably their invest in some japanese games that won't suit the taste of people when localized.
Thoughts under construction

Good day Navigator, just a perfectly normal and kinda boring day as usual. And watching anime will probably negate that. How bout you?

Well, kinda exhausted.
I just got home from Bataan for some exams and stuff.
I bought some cherry coke while on my way back home.
Anyways, I'll just go up to the bridge for a moment.

Isn't there also the factor that Western Barbarians might take offense to games to "alter" WW2 "canon" (all Kantai girls are/were planned Imperial vessels), and we all know how "popular" Japan is with its neighbors in that regard And that they're still sore at being owned by Barbarian gaijin in carrier spam.
Main reason why Daitekoku is not being sold outside Japan (in addition to being an ero game).

Even though this post was and addressed to Yuuki, here's my take on japanese console only games. For the past 4 years JP companies like Konami and Capcom were on a "Attract Westerns" crusade. Games like Demon Souls and Dark Souls have been met with higher demand compared to JRPGs. Westerns like more realistic games and this requires a high budget for production. Most JP only console games still use 2D avatars with lines of text during cut scenes.
Yes, I do agree that limiting games in one market is smart, but it would be wiser if they made some sort of exception for foreign JRPG fans. For instance provide English to be optional language to play the game with. I'm sure that we would be more than happy with subtitles during cut-scenes.

As a Japanese games enthusiast and as a lover of Japanese Language. I still hope for the provision of English as an optional language for games so more people could enjoy those alluring and breath-taking games.
