Of course they befriend them if they're romantically interested in them.
You stated that not all men make friends with females because they're interested romantically, but if they are romantically they become friends with said person. Duh. You typically get to know a person in order to get close to them.

Right the point of this thread was to convince a female user on this site that she should be aware that the guys who give her advice don't always have her best intrest in mind, especially those who have feelings for her.
She believes that she can trust those friends to give her the right advice no matter how they feel and I simply wanted her to understand that there are people (not everyone as I never implied once in this thread) who are willing to give bad advice if it suits their goals.
If you thought i was laying traps or planning some sort of "all men are evil" campaign you are sadly mistaken. I simply realize that some people don't show their true colors, some hide who they are.
