Fucking cripple girls isn't the point of the game. You can choose to null the sex completely, should you wish.

The game handles the issues very tactfully and elegantly, and for most people, it's the writing that's the main draw- since it is very well written.

The whole cripple porn image behind stems from the games' origin; a doujinshi/hentai artist included one small page depicting the girls with a few notes and blurbs (Here.)

Some people sawrs it, and thought that it would actually be an interesting idea to make a game out of it.

Five years later and here we are.


@DevilFire: Hanako's and Lily's routes are intertwined throughout most of the first half, only diverging right before the Festival.

Finally, a reply that makes this game actually sound appealing. I'm drawn to the burned girl, I really want to make her cry tears of joy now.

But there's one glaring problem.

I never play a male character. Ever.

Well, it is heterosexual romancing- so it doesn't really give you a choice.

Shouldn't be a major deterrent, since your default name (Hisao) isn't particularly manly, and you rarely see "yourself" throughout the greater part of the game.

And- as stipulated- the story is quite engaging (oftentimes despite oneself, as many have proven with their initial disgust towards it).

Ah well.
