Funny, considering the main conversation, I thought, was whether or not FF14 is considered as a "Final Fantasy" game and what type of game is "Final Fantasy" game

A Final Fantasy game is a JRPG on a Nintendo console. Nice to see some of the series come home again now after leaving with the traitorous Sony.

And only because Nintendo chose the superior cartridges over their CD system, which they then turned into the PlayStation. So traitors that should be avoided at any cost.

Yeah, Nintendo did sadly follow the trends with the next three consoles, although at least they made the games harder to pirate by not using standard CDs/DVDs.

That is a growing problem, yes, although it also applies to consoles these days. Still, I buy almost exclusively hard copies even now.

I do sometimes make exceptions for small cheap things and indie releases that would never have been released with a proper hard copy, but anything with a proper big publisher should also come with a proper physical release.

Oh, I don't mind free digital releases, though, since that means no money lost even when something happens. :D

In some cases, yes. Mostly they're self-published, though. Well, still got my physical Dead Cells as well, though, so definitely glad some of them care enough to make this happen.
