Speaking of marriage, I don't think I will ever get married IRL. Marriage doesn't make sense to me at all.Tsk tsk :(
Tell me three good things about marriage itself. Qualities or affects, not effects.
edit: daily post. https://www.fakku.net/viewtopic.php?p=1012164#1012164 they're pretty skinny. it's hard to find healthy lesbians

I don't know how policies work in other countries. I figure that if we look at marriage as an investment,
1) Engaged or married couples with or without children are given priority when purchasing a house.
2) If you are lawfully married and have children, the government hands you cash gifts (Baby Bonus an incentive to get couples to procreate) pegged according to the birth order. Children born out of wedlock do not get to enjoy this.
3) LOL, I can't think of one right now... but the sex with the one you love can be really sweet.
EDIT: GAWD... I love the kitchen and the bedlinen... lol, I want a house like that.

1 and 2 are incentives for marriage but do not speak for the actual greatness of marriage itself. 3 is an irrelevant point, as you can have sex without marriage.
edit: marriage as investment is a very pragmatic point of view, but then it is simply a contractual agreement without any love, which, I think defeats the sacredness of exchanging vows and so forth. Though... "'til death do us part" would make more sense if marriage was simply a strict contractual agreement to be upheld

Tsk tsk, I must say after reading those reasons I am quite sadden by you CreampieHoney (please no offense)
I would give my reasons but I am never quite able to articulate correctly what it is I want to say.

I think it was a theoretical thing for her.

^ True true. I was trying to be emotionally detached about stuff like this.
Who am I trying to kid, I married for love (see where it landed me...pffft) and I always make the worst decisions when it comes to men.
Seriously, I think what is great about some marriages in general is how these lucky few enjoy the deep bond and emotional fidelity that comes along with it. It's really sweet to see some elderly couple act all loving even though they are so advanced in years. I'm still looking for that elusive kind of bond...

Yeah, I hear ya. But I think that kind of love survives the trivialities of marriage. My friend Sara's boyfriend's parents have been together for twenty-five (or -six) years without marrying, and they're happy as can be. Sara's boyfriend is also a hot, indie musician with perceptiveness minus the faggotry, so being a love child didn't seem to do him any harm. If emotional fidelity is assigned with marriage, then marriage makes it an obligation, not a choice.

@ Gugu: Of course, you silly!
You have no idea of the pang of intense pain each time I feel when I get in touch with my vulnerable self. It sucks. I can't be a strong level-headed woman like that :p
@ JD: Yeah, for the religious and conservative few, marriage is an obligation and not a choice.

Lol, well I guess the best way to say what I wanted to say is maybe you should turn to you vulnerable self, and lessen the strong level-headed women in you, but I thought it sounded a little biased.
Also thanks, I tried to pick an avi that best represented me.

That was for a different purpose, Usually I alternate between female and male avatars daily.
I wanted a girl avi that I thought would be cutest when I switched.

That's nice, do what makes you happy then, Gugu.
EDIT: ^ This refers to the two choices in alternating avis that you have.

Hi, Sorata. Yup, it does look like Animewife is doing very well in her pregnancy.
Indeed, timezones are a drag.

Konbanwa Cremie chan, glad to see you still around^_^ we seem to be within similar timezones though since we are both from oceania/asia, so probably only a few hours of differece.
As for pregnant women I think they look uniquely beautiful in their own sense, especially when they put on some nice fashionable clothes to further accentuate that beauty. Is it hard for girls to shop for clothes during pregnancy? I can imagine the simple oversize t-shirt will be the most comfortable fit, but do the real dresses take a lot of effort to find?._.
