O-O I was going to just shut up and observe, but something's come up that I really need to get out. One of my relatives who just turned 15 said that she likes girls! My whole family is going nuts! They keep asking for my opinion, but I'm afraid to speak!

You've said they're very religious so I doubt 'going nuts' is particularly good...probably not my place to say but if she's come out the closet, she'll need support. Even if you aren't willing to tell your family they should support her you should at least tell her your supporting her and are okay with it.

And you should probably be honest if they keep asking your opinion, that tells me they aren't sure about their own. Worst they can do is disagree with you.

Well, I can't make them agree, but I know they will easily disagree. I'm all for same sex relationships and the like so, I'm already in the minority in the family. When I meant they were going nuts, I mean that some support her and some don't and it's causing an uproar. My family's huge and the newer generation has more accepting views. The only problem is that our views are considered infantile by the older generation since we're all still fairly young. Hah... this is complicated. My love says I should support her, so I guess that's what I'll do.

Well you could easily counter-argue that their views are old and outdated. That they have no right to determine the sexuality of someone else. I'm rather passionate about this kind of thing as you might imagine lol.
