Heres for Fakkus fifth annual SECRET SANTA EVENT!! Last years signup started late thanks to uncertain circumstances about who does it, but this time, we're on time! Description of the event: In Secret Santa, individuals in the group of participants are given a person to find a gift for, and are also themselves assigned to another to receive a gift from. It should remain anonymous on who is to give who a present(hence, being a secret santa), until Christmas day when the gift are to be distributed. Oh my, Sounds like a hoot and a holla! How do I participate? Post here saying you'd like to join this year's event and I'll add your name to a list that I'll (try to) update regularly. *Protip*: You can also add hints to help your secret santa figure out things you like! How many peeps do I get assigned to? One person per individual. How do I get assigned? I'll use a lottery method in order to group you up. After the end of the sign-up period, I will send a PM to every Secret Santa the name of their individual by December 1st. Special Note: I will give you 5 Days after sending PMs to comply and reply a confirmation PM to me. If you fail to do so, you are booted out of the game! What can I give? Since you're giving a gift online, be creative! :V You could write a well thought-out poem/story dedicated to that person. Perhaps you could spend some time and draw them an awesome picture, complete with color and whatnot? Perhaps you could make a video? How about a signature? Pour your heart into it! *MAKE AN EFFORT WITH YOUR GIFT! DON'T MAKE HALF-ASSED GIFTS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!* ALSO: If you plan on giving Steam Games, please check if your recipient is in the same Region as you - namely US, Europe, Asian States. About a Year ago Steam changed Trading Restrictions so that most games can only be activated in the region they were bought! Also, It'd be cool if it was X-mas themed. Not mandatory though. When and how do I give my gift? You may reveal yourself and your present to the person in question in this thread as early as December 24th, 2015! You may give it in a Personal message to the person, or publicly display it in the thread for all to see. ^^ I dislike the person that I've been assigned to. Could you please assign me to another? Bah humbug! Don't like 'm? Either try to get into the holiday spirits and make amends or drop out. What if I need to drop out? PLease! Say as early as you can that you will drop out! It will be hard to keep people in the loop if someone decides to do a last minute dive! I got angry PMs last year for that. Signup ends on Monday, November 30th on 11:59 pm GMT + 1. Participants will receive the names of their receiver by December 1st to 2nd at 11:59PM. Thereafter, you have from December 24th to the 26th give your gift![/b][/i] Suggestions for improving this game are very much welcome! You may as well use this as a chat thread instead of me making another thread Feel free to give hints on stuff you like, or even try to inquire about the person you may have gotten. All I ask is that everyone enjoys themselves ^^ also, should you happen to get me as your secret santa, while it may no longer be secret, I do hope you still have fun making me a gift ^^

they giving them out to give their Santas ideas (as it is encouraged)

They're telling people what they want... that's really not how secret santa works.

I think waar means "getting a surprise" since you should appreciate the gift regardless of what it is and whose its from.

It's not about the present, it's about the generosity.

But I guess we just want everyone to be happy so they're telling them "this is what I want" yeah in a way kinda breaking the secret santa purpose. >_<);;
