the reason I added that rule, was because essentially, whoever got "me" wouldn't be secret, and It left a mystery as to whether or not I would join the event or not. as my own personal little fun. if the event was even numbered, I thought maybe someone who really wanted me to join could convince an extra buddy to join just so I had to join too, my little way of getting more participants haha

also, as a side note, I would recommend joining or just keeping my rule, while the person obviously wasn't a secret santa, the gift itself is, and it is very fun wondering what that person could make, even if you do happen to know who they are.

this of course is my own opinion, but I do recommend it

I guess something like Aura's reasoning made sense to me. Aura didn't add the rule though, it has been there since 'theonewhoeats' did the game, and he probably had similar reasoning.

I don't see a reason why the OP shouldn't join in on the fun. I just don't want someone to be sad that I know their identity. But the gift will still be a mystery so...

The original post does ask for suggestions on how to improve the game, so I'm open to improvements or changes from the original plan. As long as it's not too convoluted and complicated.

I like all kinds of stuff(but if its a fanfic make sure not to mess with character pairings, i tend to gravitate toward whats in the series, if they dont specify then its free game. I also like funny pictures, funny stories, jokes, things that evoke happy feelings, etc.)
