Depends if the anime is correct and tight. Boobs for boobs sake is still moronic.

The thing about High School of the Dead, it didn't seem like the fan service was being shoved at me, rather, it sort of just became an element of comedy, as opposed to actual fan service. I found the random jiggling and panty shots extremely amusing.

Yes, to me, HSD's fan service was no longer fan service, but a more of a running gag.

I never thought about it like that. That is very true. So its like fanservice is good if its in the right context.

Highschool of the dead is alright for me.
I chose "Yes, but in moderation". If it's too much, might as well make a hentai video..

Generally, I like fanservice, even when there is much of it. Like Ikki Tousen, Queen's Blade or Strike Witches. It should have more than just fanservice, but in that case, I don't mind large amounts and often actually like it.

There are exceptions, however. The best one so far is Highschool of the Dead. All girls have big boobs? Weird, but okay, still nice. They jiggle a lot and a focus of a lot of attention? Well, that's expected, I'm okay with this. Girls taking a bath with lesb... I mean "skinshop grope", in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, as if it's actually some slice-of-life ecchi comedy? Even though the series presented itself as pretty serious before? Yeah, how about "fuck no"? It's no coincidence that I stopped reading HOTD after the second volume.

I only like sexual fan service on small amounts, however fan service does not need to be sexual.

Five minutes of pure awesome mecha action with explosions and JAM Project singing in the background as each robot breaks out their strongest attacks. Just like how in the games all units use Valor+Strike/Love and hammer the boss with everything they've got.

I used to be unimpressed with fanservice until I saw HotD. Now, I picked the top option in the poll. For me, there are two preferences in fanservice:

1. I care about boobs, not panties. Panty shots are occasionally nice, but seeing a loli's skirt flipped repeatedly does nothing for me. So Kodomo no Jikan is not my kind of fanservice.



2. Similar to what bfg said, I only really like it the characters are "aware" of it. If there's plenty of boobage around, and no one notices, I don't care too much. But if the male characters are frequently rather affected by the girls' nudity (or vice-versa...) then we've got something going.

I plan to watch several other ecchi anime, such as Queen's Blade, Rosario+Vampire, Seikirei, Green Green, etc., but for now HotD will remain my eye-opening favorite ecchi :D

Fanservice is the most important aspect of Anime it's what makes Anime Anime

Moderation, although I wouldn't jump at an anime that has a lot of fanservice anyway.
