Cruz, you forgot Reason #4 why people like GG:Spoiler:
You used to like them though. I actually got into them because you posted their A Link to the Past playthrough before. Kinda weird to see you bashing on them now.
I can see how that could be a little odd.
I did used to like them, very much. When it was just Jon and Arin playing games they wanted to, that's when I loved it.
I stopped liking them when they started playing games like Dead Space 3 (where they got paid to) - with Arin trying his hardest not to completely rip Dead Space apart, and Jon making making a basic customizable weapon feature sound revolutionary.
Also when they started playing sent in games exclusively; that gave me a bad feeling, like they didn't want to play the game, but had to because it was sent in.
If you're still enjoying their content, keep watching it; who am I to say you're having fake fun/enjoyment. It's just me and how I like my content producers.
I guess I'm just bitter at GG for some subtle changes that ruined the show for me.

Dragons are a vehicle in the same way a horse is.
I'm tempted to say something like, "nice assumptions" but that would imply I don't see the irony in the situation.
This is just a case of "stop thinking badly of things I like or am a part of".

You're welcome. I admit I was being a dick for the sake of being a dick. Congrats for catching on.I'm sure it was just that, I mean, psychological study totally teaches us that people do things just for the sake of doing them right? That there totally isn't a reason—conscious or sub-conscious—behind every action we take.
Yes, people do things for the sake of doing things. It's obvious I don't like the show and think less of people who do.
I think less of something.
I notice certain patterns and behaviors among those fans.
Poke fun of them.
Their reaction only proves how obnoxious they are.("Well why don't you show me something YOU like", "LET'S SEE YOU DO SOMETHING BETTER", "Nope, you're wrong")
You can actually prove to me that my assumptions are wrong about you beyond a doubt(rather than saying, "you're wrong because I said so), but in the end of the day, that's all you end up proving.

You're assuming my own personal reasons for being interested in GG, this doesn't work because as a person you only have your own perception to go by and you definitely don't know enough about me to be able to put yourself in my shoes. You can only make unfounded and often wrong assumptions about my personality or why I enjoy certain forms of entertainment. Stupid people do that Cruz.

I notice certain patterns and behaviors among those fans.Out of what kind of data pool Cruz? Have you personally observed more than 0.01% of their 1.4 million+ subscribers? Have you observed what other forms of entertainment they like and what their attitude on life is? You're conceitedly making vague generalizations and unfounded assumptions, you're just as bad as someone who stereotypes people based on their appearance.
I could make a ton of assumptions about you just based on the fact that you're browsing a hentai forum. I could say that you're probably an angst-ridden lonely 20-something neckbeard living with your parents and that you're likely a retarded weeaboo who likes to cyber, roleplay and fit japanese words they don't understand into their English sentences. You see, you're a part of this community, the hentai and anime fanbase and so am I. We don't have the best reputation in the world but we both know know that there are quite a few people who just don't fit into that stereotype, so why, for the love of god, would you stereotype knowing that there are likely a quite of few people that don't fit the patterns of a GG fan? Stupid people do that Cruz.

You've only given two minor reasons for their shows being bad and, both of them entirely subjective. You're the one that's saying "GG is bad because I said so."
cruz737 wrote...
"you're wrong because I said so"Uh, yeah, no. There was logical reasoning in that, that being that you don't have enough data to make vague assumptions about my personality; which is a perfectly legitimate conclusion and you even owned up to being wrong in one of those generalizations earlier by trying to correct your statement.
Nice try though.

If it both subtracts and adds to the experience value then it's not really taking anything away from it is it? Which is what you said it did previously. Although, I guess it would be better to say that how much value is added and subtracted is based on subjective taste. And if it's based on subjective taste, you should probably stop acting like it's based on objective reasoning.

You quoted me wrong here.

Technically that would be quoting myself wrong as those were my words and I'm pretty sure anyone reading it is just going to take this as you backing out from the argument. I am, so I hope you're okay with that. Before I finish, though:

See, it's super easy to make vague assumptions based on general patterns that people see in society, but you and I both know that there are a lot of people who like hentai that just don't fit into that stereotype. So why do you feel the need to turn around and do that exact same thing to another group of people who like a particular interest? Are you seeking self-validation and trying to enforce your own opinion and lifestyle choices?
Stupid people do that Cruz, don't be stupid.

Not anymore, I just admitted they were my own words. And what I was saying would work even without that quote there, I wasn't making a reference between the two, I just forgot to remove something you quoted in the previous reply.

Yes, it adds the commentary, making it something else. You're no longer invested in the game, but their reactions to it.
Or what ever dick joke they happen to be making at the time. Or personal anecdote. Or song. Or weird noises.
That is a detractor from the game experience.

Just because someone is commentating on the game doesn't mean you will suddenly lose control of your ability to form personal reactions to its content. Maybe you have a problem doing that, but I certainly don't and I don't think many other viewers do either.
I often have pretty in-depth conversations about the games GG plays with my friends, and if I didn't have any invested interest in the game while they were playing it we wouldn't be able to do that. I can still be engrossed in the mechanics and storyline just as I would be if I were sitting on a couch beside my friend while he plays a single-player game.
Like I said, you're only raising subjective reasoning, this all stuff you have a problem doing.
