Well maybe you should stop using a javascript blocker or whatnot, because it plain works in every browser I tried, so it must be something you did.
Apart from this, the reason for this blocking is, that others gain money simply by uploading stuff on a website where they did nothing but simply upload the archive there. It wouldn't be a problem if you translated the manga or whatnot, but all these uploaders do is upload the file to a website and benefitting from the work of others shouldn't be permitted.

It's not a bad idea... but it's just wrong to profit from others work... actually you should pay Jacob for using FAKKU to post the links and also the Artists/Creator/Translator/Whoever for uploading their work.
My opinion... kick them all out without hesitation...

Looks like hotfile should be banned too, since people make money from other people's downloading of their files there.

If there's no penalty given to this people, more and more people will start using hotfile instead mediafire. Take the C76 doujin thread for example. Since there's no action taken from people upload using hotfile, the last 2 page become full of hotfile. Sigh... they got money from it and it's not even belong to them.

I agree with Rbz, there is no real reason to take some of the options off the table just because some people would prefer uploaders to use different sites. Also, he is right that a good majority of the uploaders would simply stop uploading- people do not like restrictions, and are prone to do crazy shit when things upset them. A good example of this is what happened recently with Team Fortress 2 and the whole hat ordeal (although circumstances are a bit different). Valve punishes all the people who cheated/potentially cheated, and they all go up in arms about it. Quite a few stopped playing the game. Will they do so forever? I doubt it, but the point is, the community at large will be the ones to suffer most from this ban, as a number of uploaders will leave rather than conform. I am all for having people post what site/sites they have links to in the thread title.
On another note, while I agree that profiting off of something you had no involvement in producing is greedy and somewhat unethical, I would feel much more strongly if it was actually my money they were getting, and not just a little bonus from the site. Another thing: do you have to have a premium account at the site to get that bonus? If so, then it is highly likely that the bonus works against the uploaders unless they manage to get a ton of traffic onto their links, in which case the whole click-for-cash thing would be dropped after awhile since the site would be losing money off of it.
*edit* ok, i checked another site i go to, one that uses several different uploading sites. Still unsure if its only for premium accounts, but he is very open about the fact that DF rewards him for people downloading his stuff off them (claims to use the $$$ to help maintain the site, honestly couldn't tell one way or the other without meeting him in person), he has a premium account with them

It has already been proven that hotfile uploaders get profits from downloads, hotfile uploaders should be given a warning to stop uploading their files there if they are to be posted in Fakku. (They can post them at some other site if they have to make money for their own personal reasons)

1. Hotfile doesn't pay for "file". They pay for viewing their site.

I say yes to the bans just because MF and MU are so much friendlier.
Mediafire and Megaupload both don't require you to wait X seconds before downloading, and in Mediafire's case, you can download multiples files at once for free. Mediafire's only downside is the 100mb limit for free users, but for like 90% of mangas/doujins, that's a non-issue.
For bigger files, megaupload I think let's free users download 500mb files at a good speed. From places like depositfiles and whatnot, they restrict you to like 100kb/s, but I know I've downloaded 500kb/s from megaupload. Also, you don't have to wait X minutes in between downloads.
If people are profiting off the FAKKU community downloading from their links, then yes, we should ban. People who upload to benefit the community will change the site they upload to. People who upload for profit will most likely leave the site. I guess it's up to FAKKU to decide if they want to lose some of the profit seekers.

Please be aware that megaupload/megaporn is actually banned in some countries, haha. I found that out when I was in Hong Kong. Plus mediafire servers regularly goes wonky, not allowing you to download anything. Found this happening a lot in C76 thread, and having to wait a day or two before link went back to normal.
My suggestion for the C76 thread is to supply several links/mirrors as some people are doing, with at least one being mediafire or megaupload.
As for preference, I like rapidshare (get over the 10 downloads limit by uploading into an account) due to having an account there. :D

I agree with everything on the account that hotfile doesn't allow me to resume downloads using opera/firefox which is madness because i have really bad internet... AND i need those resumes terribly especially when my line dcs at random
