Fuck You, Nintendo...again

Some of you already know that I killed my 3DS XL at A-kon by dropping it and killing the top screen. I bought a replacement screen ($81 USD) for it and tried replacing it. Turns out, Nintendo builds 3DS XL's like Fort Knox so it was impossible to install the damn thing.

I bought a 'used' 3DS XL (Brand new actually, so I can't complain that much) for $170. Turns out, all my digitally downloaded games (Fire Emblem: Awakening and Link's Awakening...go figure) are on the old hardware instead of the SD card.

In order for me to retrieve the games, I would have to send my new 3DS XL and what remains of the old one to Nintendo and wait THREE FUCKING WEEKS for them to transfer the old games to the new system.

I followed this tutorial when I broke mine and it worked just fine for me. Don't blame the company for your own shortcomings.

Might as well tough it out for 3 weeks then. No need to waste more money.

Or at least it did until Nintendo of America saved the day. Now it's butts-free. I take back my previous statement. You can play Fire Emblem Awakening without exposing yourself to obscene content. It's safe now.

Instead of replacing the screens, why don't you try swapping the memory?

Should just Get the screen replaced. Should be easy to find somebody to replace it for you. Otherwise, that's a lot of fucking around.
If you do that, you might be able to sell the new one for a bit more than $170. If you're lucky

@ Kestrel, Look, if I could transfer games in the SD card this wouldn't be an issue. Two, was it 3DS XL or a DSi XL? One step required to separate the top and bottom case which was impossible on a 3DS XL but actually possible on a 3DS.

Nintendo should seriously tie digital purchases to accounts in case things like these happen.
