...I seen that tutorial it's the one I followed even still it was incomplete. There's more to it than that, man. There's a hoop the flex cable from the screen has to go through along with a few more components all at once. If you bend the flex cable too much, the device is ineffective. Thanks for your perseverance, though.

I got my lites screen replaced for $20.
I was doing it myself, but I snapped the ribbon cable accidentally. Gave it to another guy to fix, cause I couldn't be arsed.

Yeah I know, I've only repaired a few hundred notebooks in my time. PCB cables have a fair amount of give if you handle them properly.

Just because you didn't find out how to do it doesn't mean it's impossible, if it can be assembled it can also be disassembled.

My co-worker in IT goes by a similar motto. Honestly, I'm just gonna leave it be, buy another copy of Fire Emblem: Awakening (used, physical), and sell the replacement screen on EBay to cushion the loss. Thanks for your help, Nobyl.

I rarely play my 3DS anymore. I just recently bought heroes of ruin and it's repetitive as fuck.

I have no physical 3ds games, the screen can go for $60 since it's used, it has a few smudges...and if it still works because I bent the flex cable a bit much..., the old 3ds xl I'm just gonna use for replacement parts (battery, mobo, buttons, and the like)

I can try attempting to reassemble it...but I have to hope like hell it works though. Remember that flex cable dilemma I mentioned? It's a pain to fit that thing in there.

I havent touched my 3DS in months, same with my Vita. There just isnt anything out that ive been looking forward to, I do want Animal Crossing though.
