Have you tried giving them to a local non profit animal shelter or organization? 1. If serious: It is very possible these cats are feral. Which would make the attempt to capture said animals for the purpose of adoption incredibly dangerous and stupid.
2. If not serious: O u.

I say that because I work with two non profit organizations and most of the time we ask people to give us strays to prevent the increase in stray animals. Also sometimes animal control takes them to a shelter that will put them down if no one wants them.

Honestly I think Animal Control would have to check them out first. Strays are one thing... they may or may not have once been pets. But cats that are born in the wild DO NOT like humans. They could have diseases. Not exactly pet material.

Fair enough.

Stray racoons? Oh well, the water method should still work anyways.
But seriously, call Animal Control and ask them about the situation.

Raccoons do tend to travel in groups.
They can also be vicious as fuck. I don't suggest sic'ing a dog on them unless that dog happens to be the size of a horse.
Also, consider fencing or humane methods of pest repulsion.

I heard there's sprays you can by that will keep them away from things, i assume it's something a long the lines of scent marking. I already picked up a bottle and sprayed at the base of the trees they've been climbing up.
