Try here for now, but if I were you, I'd get accustomed to torrenting. It's safe, easy, convenient, and just generally more secure than streaming sites that can take down their content at any time, or if they're down.

It's a matter of knowing which sites to take them from. We all use nyaa for anime torrents. I can PM you more regarding getting started on them, but trust me, all downloads are safe. They're just videos anyway.

Go ahead and scan, at least you can keep making sure what you torrent is safe. Start at your own pace, of course, if you're still too paranoid.

The best defense against viruses are safe browsing habits. I haven't used an anti-viral program with real-time protection in a very long time, I scan my computer once every month and haven't gotten a virus in the past several years.

All of the popular fansub groups upload their torrents to nyaa, any torrent with a green background is from a trusted uploader, torrents with blue backgrounds are considered the best releases for a particular series. Unless someone is feeling like a complete dick it's highly unlikely you'll get a virus from one of those torrents, but it can happen.

Just follow a website that hosts the torrents, or Nyaa.eu. I have downloaded thousands of episodes and never gotten anything, just have some common sense and know what you are downloading.

The two times a virus torrent was dling on my uSerenity client deleted it when it detected it. Thousands and thousands of torrent clean. Plus you can scan that file after if your paranoid.

It's rare for a good Streaming website to take stuff down or go down. And even if it does go down, doesn't stay down for long or will be available on another Streaming Site.

Torrents and Streams both have their ups and downsides. I myself only Torrent as a last resort, usually when a particular series has been clamped down on and DMCA'd. I don't care much for HD quality because I am not a quality whore.
