How are the people of the Philippines?

So there was a typhoon and hundreds are dead and missing. Just curious since there are several users from the Philippines.

Everything is fine and dandy up north in Luzon, Visayas is having black-outs, Mindanao has the worst of it.

I never understood why a lot of Filipinos would take possessions over personal/family safety..

Same with the floods we had. A majority of the people that died, died because they refused to evacuate.

I'm currently on a raft somewhere between Philippines and Chile. We were 10 people from the begin, now we are 4.5. Now we're waiting for a boat, a boat that will take us far away. We know where we hope this boat will take us, but we don't know for sure.

got several tsunami warnings in Miyagi province after the 7.3 Magnitude quake hits sendai and the surrounding places.
