Uh, realistically speaking, I try to talk it out with the person(s) involved. However, when that isn't possible I usually just bottle it up that day and vent my frustration in gaming or just yelling aloud to myself when I'm by myself.

I know it sounds weird but I think out-loud. I will talk myself through the current situation and the possible solutions, I will then think about the negatives and pro's to each solution that I have derived. If a better solution comes from looking at the negatives and pro's of others I will go for that option.
That is for very large or complicated problems, most of the time I just use some quick mental logic.
