edit: Yeah sure, why not Tegumi. Totally missed one of the larger grocery store chains out there even though I made reference to us having Dillions instead of Kroger which is part of their chain.Next you'll be telling me I've never heard of Hy-Vee before.
You said, and I quote:

Krogers are southern.Krogers is based in Ohio. I'd hardly consider that 'southern'.
Sorry, would a "A good portion of the Kroger Stores are primarily located in the south to the point where they are a primarily a southern concept" suffice better?

My point was you saying that you know what you meant and what you actually wrote were two different things. Then based off this point I called you wrong and stupid.
What I wrote was a broad statement.
Suggesting it couldn't mean what I said is retarded.
Is that just your excuse for everything? "Oh it has a broad definition" Things can't just be interpreted or defined as you see fit.

Yes, the company is located in Ohio.
The Kroger brand for their stores, however, is primarily a southern concept. Where Dillions seems to be their brand for stores in the central area and such.
It's a little weird, I know.

Tegumi's right. It's really where the HQ is, not where their stores are.

Well considering it is an implication, it means that you can't go "This is what is means' for certain. And with the broadness of the statement it means there is room for judgment on what it could mean.
Just because you want to pick out a particular statement YOU think it SHOULD mean doesn't mean what I'm said I was implying is wrong.
It just means you don't agree with my interpretation.
And considering I wrote the damn thing, what I say takes precedence over what you say.
So suck it.

The kroger STORE is a southern concept.
The store =/= the company. It is a sub-part of the company.
Which means that while the Company is in Ohio, the store can have an entirely different location and meaning.

Both of you. What is the "Southern Concept".
Is Kroger supposed to have like banjos lying around, and a bunch of random rednecks drinking an alcohol from a bottle that says XXX?

Wait, you're serious? Krogers began as a store founded in Ohio. Ohio, Ohio, Ohio, Ohio. Ohio. Ohio Ohio. Ohio.

No no no no no no you can not go around interpreting things the way you want under the excuse "I said it so I know what it means." Even if you say something with a set idea of what you want it to mean you can still fuck up somewhere and have what you said come out meaning something different. Which is exactly what happened.
YOU ARE WRONG. Deal with it and move the fuck on.

*sighs*
I'll try this again.
In this instance, there are two brands of Kroger.
The brand of the company. And the brand of the product, the store.
At one point, yes, they were the same.
However, because the product has the majority of its locations in the south now, the brand has changed and much of its association is now with the south.

Except what I said can mean what I expected it to mean.
So the problem lies not with what was stated, but with the interpretation.
edit: I would admit I was wrong, if I was wrong.
