There is literally no question or decision here. Eyepatch/Pirate FTW.

Sorry this is so late in coming but just as I hit send. My internet went down and was off all night. Just came back up so here goes.
You only get two eyes to start with so do whatever it takes to keep what works working
Going through much of the same thing you are only left eye and because of surgery
I have a detached retina due to an accident and right now I an on my second surgery to try and save the eye. And of course it is the better of the two eyes.
They have some amazing procedures they can do (I wont bore yo with the gory details but it doesn't hurt)
Worst part is the loss of binocular vision and depth perception but surprisingly you can adapt. Frustrating I know but hang in there. I have to wait a month before they can decide if the surgery worked. If not they notch up to the next level (no guarantees. But I will fight to the end to save it
Go for the patch Don't endanger what you have left. Besides the neighborhood kids all think I am "Pony The Pirate" LOL
Do Not worry about looking cool. Just keep thinking positive
Personally I like the black patch they offered. Looks more sinister

Well there are two ways to go on with this.
First, choose the eyepatch and then start a party.
Second, choose the glasses, get called a dork by a passerby, throw the glasses away then choose the eyepatch instead.

Well, I've decided against the NHS plastic ones, they dig into my skin.
I'm good at cosplay / sewing so I'll make my own out of black leather, I'm gonna look for some faux crocodile skin.
Oh. My job btw = Salesman. I wonder if this'll effect it?
Edit:

Cheers for that, and best of luck. Hopefully mine should be OK if I keep light off it for a few weeks, (thankfully it didn't burn my retina) so we'll see what happens :/

Looks good but remember to make sure the edges keep the light out. If necessary go to a craft shop and find that foam tape to seal the edges
Black patch. Black dress trousers. Black shoes.(black socks too) Snow white shirt Black String tie
Whatever you are selling the customers men or ladies will line up to buy them ahaahahaah

And hand stabbing sewing is a complete pain in the ass, my other pupil is wide open so I wonder if this is depth perception?

If you have been to the Dr and he dilated your eyes it might be a long lasting drop
I had surgery last Friday and it's still wide open
The other option is your brain is trying to compensate It will eventually figure it out and yeah in part it is loss of depth perception
Hang in there and think good thoughts
