Its better to tell him now before it gets worse.
The more mold the more money. Sure you may have mold now but if you wait it will just get worse.
If you get sick from staying there I think he could get in trouble too.
I would just tell him and see what happens.

Hmm.. how do you tell someone that though? I mean, just walking up to them and saying "you have mold" sounds hostile, but suggesting they should check for it encourages them to brush it off as "well I think we're fine."

If you get sick and it is because of your landlord is not talking care of the environment that you are living in he could get in trouble. If he does deny the fact I would call in someone to check and see for yourself once you see whether or not you have it you can go from there. You are paying him to live there, if something is wrong with the home he is supplying you with then you should tell him. Is it fair to you that you are giving someone money to get yourself a sickness?

I understand where you are coming from, it's just hard to know how to approach such a thing, especially with how poor I am. I guess the best thing to do is to wait and see if I get sick from it and go from there. While the place was all soaked, it's natural to get sick so I suppose I should wait and see if it continues.

The toughest part about that plan is knowing wiether it's mold making you sick or not. Lots of people get mold sickness every year and have no idea. You see it on TV all the time.. someone has a sick kid, a game show comes along to remodel the house and BAM! mold is found.. yet the denizens had no idea.

Are there tell tell signs that a sickness may be due to mold rather than a cold or something else?

Even if my sickness is due to mold, it won't be easy to deal with, specially given my funds. I don't like talking about money too much, because I'm extremely poor and don't want to seem like I'm fixated on it, or asking for a handout.. but let's just say it's a miracle I'm able to be renting in the first place.

Nonetheless, this will help me at least know what I must do if it becomes really bad, which is more than I knew before.
