That sounds like the Final Fantasy X problem that i have.

Standing on last savepoint before endboss -> going out again to do ALL THE THINGS->countless hours later: saving, killing the boss+watch credits->reload, go out again to do even more things XD
(i have like 700 hours on my PS2 version on FFX like that..nowhere near being done, but i dont have the console, nor the memory card anymore so i had to rebuy the remastered version...haha)

Well, if you complete it fully, i guess you dont need a new game+ then.. unless theres more endings than one to obtain^^

sadly unlike previous tales games this one really doesn't seem to have any replay value whatsoever

Wouldve loved some more interactions with the people between missions.

I only ever played Tales of ...i think Eternia was it called, for PsP, and nearly before the end (imo) i lost the disc x__x
