I actually just got Zestiria, any advice?
It's actually been a while since I played Tales game too ^^;;

hmm for the most part its pretty straight forward, however if you don't get the dlc double exp you can have a stupidly long grind for levels e.e

also if you are a fan of skits I'd reccomend sleeping at an inn quite offten, especially after any sort of main type story event, there are a lot of skits and they give quite a lot of comedic value to this game, which is one of its only real redeaming factors as there is absolutely no romance of any type or sort in this game unlike previous tales games. essentially its just a "boy goes on a journey to save the world with his friends" and thats about it otherwise

the boss type monsters you see on the field only really give a key item orb which increases everyones max HP by 100, while nice, I'd skip a majority of them for the first half of the game, otherwise you're gonna be spending forever grinding the levels and gear just to beat one for something that isn't that great, later you can just go back and kill all the ones you past making it much easier and faster to get the orbs

one other random thing to save you some work, towards the begining of the game someone will offer to buy a key item off of you for 1000 gold, I'd reccomend not doing it as you need that item for a subquest, and when you need to get past guards talk to them again and show them that said key item to avoid having to sell another key item you are given (however if you sell either of them you can do an extra quest later to get them back but i just don't think its worth the extra work when there is a way you don't have to use either lol
