Apparently, the other terrorist bombings around the world by Muslim radicals are also part of the CIA plot? No, those were the Mossad's doing. You know, because Islam is the religion of peace and no Muslim could ever do any wrong. It's always the Jewish Zionists, the American Crusaders, the Decadent European Infidels, or ALLAH'S WILL, but heavens forbid, never any mussulman's fault!
Except for the hundreds of times terrorist groups have claimed responsibilty..
I think there is way to much bunching of muslims in this thread. You have volient extremist but guess what? those extremist also are killing muslims who are peaceful. Muslims or arabs can't all be grouped together - there is tolerance preached. You just don't hear about it because it isn't news worthy, we don't care - we only get riled up when we hear about how "they" (like ALL muslims are in on it) are going to kill makers of a Tv show.
The majority of people in every country don't give a flip about other religions or extermist. They just want to live their lives, get married, be happy at their jobs, and live a long life. We all want the same things, but everyone is so distrustful of each other and scared crazy just because a few wackos be misrepresent'n their religions.

facepalm.jpgBut, since I apparently can't expect everyone to be of like erudition:
IN CONTRAST TO SCIENTIFIC THOUGHT, which relies on logic, causality, observation, experimentation, and methods or theoretical frameworks that assist in the study of various phenomena, markedly non-scientific modes of thought prevail throughout the Arab world. These modes of thought take many forms, one being metaphysical thinking that employs religion to explain phenomena, even when they can be understood by scientific thinking that does not offend religious thought. Another common mode of non-scientific thought is superstition-based thinking, which relies on myths and hearsay. The most prevalent, however, and perhaps the most damaging of the modes of non-scientific thought, is conspiracy-centered thinking. Such thinking is based on nothing more than general frameworks that suggest there exist overarching plans and hidden – or even visible – forces that direct the world as if it were theater.
[...]
Conspiracy-centered thought in the Arab press, in academia and public opinion frequently promotes the notion that Arabs or Muslims are “targeted” by outside powers.
There are many examples associated with this mode of conspiracy-centered thought in recent years, but the most prominent are:
a. Rejection of the idea that al-Qaeda (or Osama Bin Laden) carried out the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.

The thing about South Park is, they love controversy, they're basically television trolls. They'll probably do even more to piss off the extremists. ;p

I don't need a citation for something that is my opinion. But a microism could be looking back at all the post in this thread. I could ask you for the same though, your quote only said what was most prevalent but it does not compare secular and theological idealism regarding Conspiracy-centered thought. So while it states that "markedly non-scientific modes of thought prevail throughout the Arab world." it does not say to what degree or set a standard that could be measured to other comparable religions or secular realms.

Try and follow me (an un-biased Canadian Athiest):
An Islam man looks at the pope. The person closest to god and laughs at what (most) Americans believe.
Americans ignore or shun that man.
A Catholic man looks at Muhammad, a prophet of God. And laughs at what (many) Middle-Easterners believe.
A few Islamics send death threats (that get followed through).
In the end I guess it just is how devout? (If thats even the right word) One person is and how far you will go to stop slander against something you believe in.
"But to me. Death threats are getting old. Some people Just need to say "Fuck You Buddy" and move on."

Hell. I consider myself intelligent and still this whole storm of shit confuses me.

Then the USA PRESIDENT will use this as an excuse to blame the Muslim world.
with this the President can have the right authority to hunt down muslim and this will result another holy war (for the president) and another mass murder of the centuries
