you have a boyfriend... they exist for a reason you know. Why? Just because you don't agree with it doesn't mean I have to.
You can think it's creepy all you want, but you don't have to compare your dead father to my dead cat. So you didn't cremate your father, congrats. I wouldn't cremate my mothers body either.
Edit, actually. My mother would get cremated. She wants her body cremated and put into a coral reef ball and into the ocean to help restore the natural coral reefs.
So even though she'll be cremated, I won't have her sitting on a mantle.

I think it's a really pretty shrine with all the fans displayed around and whatnot. Would not know the black cat was an urn by the looks of it.
There's nothing wrong with a simple shrine to a beloved pet. Besides, one day if you decide to get rid of the shrine or something you can still find a place to bury the ashes and put a rock on top. :]

We did cremate my father, he simply rests in a grave, not a shrine I made. Just so you know, I was simply offering a possible solution to the problems you mentioned in this thread previously; calm down.

I just can't think of having cremated ash of something that was alive in my house. I always thought it was kind of wierd when people did that with their loved ones (humans) but I never really thought about this practice being used for animals too...
My point:
But that's my opinion. Sorry your cat died. I had a cool cat once as well (that does not reside in an urn)... D:

perhaps I should have said it more like this, it might not have created any rage over my words... or perhaps it was just that i said them which caused the issue.

We put my dog to sleep a while ago. Thirteen years old. The doctor was incompetent, though. He kept trying the find the vein and missing it, causing my dog more and more pain. What a dumbass.

Damn, pets...
So, I killed my 1st pet(a canary) when I was 4...I was so terrified I ran away, and I have no idea of what happened to him.
My 1st hamster died when I was 10. I think she was burried in my backyard.
I also had a kitty which suddenly died when I was about 11. I loved him so much I just cried and ran away from there.. no idea what happened to his remains.
Now I have 3 birds, 2 dogs and a kitty, which is now preagnant and will have babies next week or so : )
When I move out 5 months from now I don't think Ill have a pet over there... I'll be too busy with my studies : \ But I'm thinking of getting a kitty on my 2nd or 3rd year there...

Also,
even though I have never cremated a pet, I don't think cremating and keeping an urn with the ashes is weird...
