I don't think it matter's if you take ANYONE's words seriously, let alone an older members. Unless they are asking you to stop harassing them and/or others.

There's a reason why many older members have authority, simply because the admin staff and other members are familiar with each other.

I wasn't talking about the admin staff, and only SOME older members have authority, but just because you have more post on a forum doesn't make you special. The Mods wont side with someone just because they been around longer, because they don't want to chase away every new member. But I don't really think it is an issue becaue I'm pretty sure that the Mods don't make unreasonable request of the members here and do a good job.

Members with high rep and posts will get more benefit of a doubt than a new user because the older member has gained the respect of other users.

Fine, but i call bs. I think the admin can and will make choices based on specific instances and what was posted or said. Your rep may keep them from banning you but I don't think that gives you a free pass to harass other members. Of course, like I said, this whole thing isn't a big issue.
