If it's the i3/i5/amd quad/a-8 then that good and it win 8.1 stocked on HP.com. Celeron and Pentium is meh if you game or encode/shop. Web surfing and fapping then ok if your not running 1080p 10bit flac x264 or 265. Could be decent playing 99% of the vns. Most likey your running integrated graphics also so don't play crysis or 4k video. The prairie will be up in flames.

I'm really going to hate the day I need to get a new laptop. I like Windows 7.I specifically ordered mine with Windows 7 from Amazon from a seller with good reviews. Ran a risk doing that, but it came in top condition and still works, so was worth the gamble.
Judging by the Start button it was supposed to have Windows 8 on it.

Face it plebs, while the Metro UI does suck a tremendous load of ass Windows 8 is a lot faster than it's predecessors. Learn to use Metro as a type-based (aka. superior) interface.
Also, the bloatware comes from HP, not Microsoft. (Well, some of it, but mostly from HP in this case.)

My windows XP can support more than 4gb by using a coding hack. But I am using 4GB RAM but it really managed to increase my ram from 3.24 to 3.99
(Windows XP is not really ram efficient compared to windows 7 and windows 8, you might as well install windows 7 if you are upgrading your ram, I can't imagine anyone facing RAM problems in windows XP instead of kernel errors)
