Otaku culture and sexuality

Now this is something I've been wondering about... why is otaku culture so closely associated to sexuality, as in shitloads of fanservice, hentai and weird festishes?

Otaku is what all the hip people say.

It's like with cops or blondes, not all of them are actually as stupid as they're supposed to be.

I kinda know what you're getting at, but I never met an otaku who was NOT into that whole hentai stuff. Whereas with cops and blondes, I've seen otherwise.

As for sexuality and all, isnt that everywhere nowadays? I mean even godaddy uses a pretty model and its got nothing to do with women or sexuality.

I think no matter what you want to sell or promote, attach a sexy chick in provokative clothing to it and it will sell more hihihihihi

While I agree, I think it's much more prevalent in otaku subculture, somehow.

Nash, on your reply to Tsujoi, some people seem to prefer such over real porn coz its artificial, its that side of it that makes it more stimulating I guess for some, or its also possible that they can relate to it more, or they connect to the anime better than real women - hence the stimulation is better when it comes to anime porn. That's because an otaku IS someone who like forms of anime.
A cop isn't a person who IS stupid, he/she tries to enforce the law, using whatever stupid methods at their disposal.

Real porns "real" but the feelings fake as fuck whereas Anime characters feelings for each other are real and thats a plus in my book.
