p.s. not sure why having a lot of friend implies that i don't have a select group of really close friend? I think friends are friends no matter who you are, you aren't any closer to your friends because you were unpopular than I was with mine... In real life the most sure fire way to be popular is to do your own thing. Eventually people will realise that your thing is so much better then there thing and will imediately start copying you thus making you "cool". Even if that doesn't happen, then you managed to go through your school life without changeing your life for other non-important people and that will make you will be cool by default.

Well popularity didn't really mean anything to me I was just content with the friends that I had, I didn't care if everyone in the school actually knew me. But yeah just being yourself online and off is a good way to become popular among people whom you can relate to.

Popularity was overrated, find some real friends that share you're hobbies and interests.
I remember in highschool i was "popular" with the cool kids then i realized that they were just being total dicks and faggits to other people. So i left that group and that found some new friends and to this day am still friends with them.
