Just curious what kind of local bands are users from here listening to.

Been listening to a lot of Hurt lately. "Pills" and "Got Jealous?" are both constantly running in my head, one or the other. But the band isn't local.
I can never pick one particular song as my all-time favorite. There's way, way too much good fucking music out there.

Amália Hoje - A gaivota
This music captivated me..
This group ( Amália Hoje [Amália Today]) is a project made by the lead singer from The Gift and Moonspell (both portuguese bands). This project is basically the remake of the great Amália Rodrigues, known all around the world for her music( she was a Fado singer) [ for those who don't know, Fado is a very known portuguese music type] I'm actually not a fado fan, but i like these remakes.
HAHA! Amália Rodrigues ( not much before her death) , LIVE IN JAPAN
O fado da Mariquinhas

There are a lot of good ones (and loads of shitty ones too -.-, specially the "wanna be niggas" god... it's awfull... guys who try to be niggas are all douchebags here -.-... I'll try to find some old Boss AC lyrics... He's a portuguese rapper who had a record with powerful and inspiring lyrics about social and economical problems.. not the "bling, cash and bitches" kinda thing.. now he's with the bitches too, meh screw it..)
Hope you like it ( at least 1.. x))

I put this video on a diferent post to grab your atention. Now that I have your attention,
This is from a local band , TheSardines
This video was the year project of a 12th grade group. In P.A. ("project area").
They spent the whole year learning with professionals, filming and developing this project. It's harder than it looks like, from what they told me...

I remember I wrote a whole article for my high school newspaper on my favorite song. The first time I listened to it, the music just soothed all of my troubles away, and I thought the lyrics really connected with almost every aspect of my life.
Wanna know what song?
"Nothing's gonna change my world..."
Thought the video I found for it was quite nifty as well.
