Looks like we're on track to hit the tier for Aqua Bless 2nd ed. either tomorrow or this weekend. Likewise, the second round of voting for the wallscroll has begun.

I was actually disappointed w/ the winner of round 1, but then again I didn't think any of the designs were all that great. But round 2 looks a lot better - ended up voting for H, although they all look great (G would be my second pick). But I have this feeling K is going to win...

On a side note, the PH release of One Kore is finally out! I'm a fan of Yuzuki 'N (Dash), and the first 50 or so orders come w/ a free dust jacket for it. =)

Kodomo no Jikan I was going to buy in 2007, but Seven Seas cancelled their release.

For the kickstarter I hope they print it as "A Child's Time" and not "Nymphet"

It would also be nice if they would release the series in omnibus volumes containing two or three regular volumes and with nice paper specs!

The idea of an omnibus from a US publisher makes me want to cringe, but maybe they would do a decent job. Most of the US manga released is horrible quality, and with most omnibus they figure out how to drop the quality even more.

Would love to see how Kodomo no Jikan was supposed to end before Comic High! canceled it because of Milk Morinaga

To be fair they always was shit but they have gotten better after tokyoshit died and viz has always been shite. Why? Because it cost more then the japanese tanks to print at those levels. Just like it cost more to print at wani level then doing the project h/normal tank quality (which the old project h still isn't that level).

In fact the omnibus of Girlfriends and Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service is good for western release standards. Better ink and paper then bleack vol 1 and my old love hina's. Dark horse and seven sea is good. Yen plus is nice in the sundome releases. Vertical and Kodansha US is good.

I would also like an omnibus release just for space purposes, just if they do single volumes that's 13 books.
YenPress actually did a very good job with the Emma omnibus releases, but they went all out with a hardcover, and a dust jacket.
also all of the VizBig Editions of Viz's omnibus releases have held up really well for me, but I agree with you that some of the regular paperback omnibus releases really get worn down just after one reading.

My first manga and last Viz Media manga purchase was Angel Sanctuary back in 2007 and they look terrible now they don't hold up at all. Only read twice.

Most of my manga is Seven Seas and their volumes aren't bad, but their omnibus don't hold up well.

Dark Horse has some of the better omnibus I've seen.

What I have noticed is that if they keep the omnibus releases as 2 in 1 volumes instead of 3 in 1 volumes, they hold up really well.

That being said if and when the Kickstarter goes live one of the stretch goals should be a thicker paper stock for the cover, if not a hardcover release.

Just to give it that extra special touch.

Side note I am looking at my seven seas release of the orange omnibus right now which is 2.5 books in 1 and I can tell this won't make it past 2 readings. However my Yowamushi Pedal Omnibus from Yen press which is 2 volumes in 1 and has a weaker paper stock for the cover has held up through the 3 times I have read through it. The spin barley has a crease at all.

I hope the give it the same treatment as they have with the Vanilla Essence Kickstarter Japanese print quality with nothing left out for the whole set.
But if they did the omnibus they should do a poster set for the rest of the covers.
