Just curious is all. This is becoming relevant in my life at the moment.
just to be clear, I do not
I'm wondering if you people do

No, there was a study that linked it to autism way back when vaccines were still young. But it was shown that the person doing the test had fudged the results because he disliked vaccines.
So if you're wanting to get vaccinated, licking an autistic person won't help.

Nope, it doesn't cause autism, and believing it does probably means you are autistic

Even if they did (which they don't), Vaccinations save millions of lives every year. Have you heard about any mass deaths from chicken pox recently? No? That's because of vaccinations.

In the movies, yes.
In real life, though, I haven't met someone who got autistic, especially the ones given yellow fever shots and other strong vaccines like DPT ones.

From our current research they don't. It's a myth that has been heavily researched and has been proven to be false. Symptoms of autism usually start to appear around the time a child is starting to get their vaccinations so the two get clumped together quite often. There are other varying factors (such as genetics and environment) that have more of a play then vaccinations in relation to autism. Vaccinations help more then they hurt and the biggest concern with vaccines are allergies in relation to them (eggs, shellfish, gelatin) and should be reported to your healthcare provider.

I don't think so. All I know is that autism is becoming a big problem. Maybe global warming is the culprit. When you can't pinpoint the source of a problem, always blame global warming.

Plus i think they included people with Savant syndrome into the autism spectrum plus other disorders.

No, I don't and I've honestly not met a person who did believe such a thing (But, then again, I don't get out much). The flaws and fallacies are obvious in the data often presenting the idea, so I'd have assumed most people would see how broken many of said claims were and simply dismissed the thought.

My cousin has CP and one other one was Mongoloid. Shit happen. The one who has cp was premature and had the cord around the neck. I say was mongoloid because he dead.

Exactly what freak's said. It's hard for parent's to accept any developmental issues, deformities, or the death of a child without something being a cause. Sometimes there is a cause, other times we just don't have the science 100% to back up reasons why (health is a complex subject).
Vaccines are just one of the few things that people focused on as a potential cause of autism. The problem with this is either 1) people were fed false information from outside sources (gossip, media, internet, idiot heath care professionals) or 2) take information given to them the wrong way.
You can try to explain things as simply and as clearly as you can, but lack of knowledge and human ignorance makes it a pain to do so.

OT: What freak said. Birth defects are most of the time coming from pregnancy, not from vaccines. Besides, they'll ask if the patient is pregnant before injecting vaccines for safety reasons.

this was my first thought, "Why are you asking something that could possibly be construed as serious in IB?"
but my answer is no, that sounds pretty foolish
