I asked that same question to someone else~xD I think the best time to give the gift is on Christmas eve 24th perhaps around evening. I want to do it later but this person said the earlier the better. D: Also their times may most likely differ from yours so if you give your gift early they could still be getting it late at night....lucky me I know everything about this person~! No, you do not "have" to share it in the thread. It is for those who want to share it with the community though

I would have no probably sharing it, but it is a little personal, so Im unsure about "sharing it with the community" - I prefer presents to be a one-on-on affair.
Also its up to my present recipient whether they want it shared or not :3

You don't need to post your gift there, but I think it's better to post that you have given your gift to the person w/o telling who it was just to make sure everyone has given theirs...
Like 'I have given my gift, done and done.' or something like that.
