So I got my first ticket.
Will the citation get revoked?

I don't really know much about driving so I am unable to comment on your situation.
On another note, I would like to say: When things hit rock bottom, the only way it can go is back up... or remain constant. I am sure some good luck is going to come your way and that of Fpod soon.

MPH or KPH cpok, I didnt think anywhere other than the states used the imperial system.A product of British colonial involvement, methinks. Britain itself is weird on measurements though; most things here are metric - celsius, grammes + kilos, litres - but distance is always miles and yards. Oh, and if it's hot people tend to use Fahrenheit...I guess it just sounds better. :p
OT, I won't ever leave the house without my wallet and phone myself, but that is pretty damn unfortunate. Couldn't comment on the application of the law but I hope you get a break.

I've gotten pulled over for not having my lights on.
But the lights on my car (well it's dead now so meh.) were horrible so it pretty much was unnoticeable.
But yeah, it was understandable why he did. The path I was driving took me past the bar area. It was 2 am on a weekend in a college town.
Didn't take much to realize he thought I was drunk. Which was easy to clear up. Got a written warning though.
And Ziggy, I think a lot of places will tend to overturn the citation if you show proof of your license. Especially if you have little to no offenses on your record.

depends on the state and if the clerk is a douche. What do the clerks have to do with this?
They're the one that takes the payment or the ones you can go to get a reduction or the actual revoking of the ticket with the proof of the offense in question ie ticket for no license their the one you show you have proof of the license.
Like i said depends on the state and laws of your country.

In Pennsylvania I'd just go to the police station within 24 hours and show them my license and apologize for accidentally leaving it at home.
In Georgia I have to wait until my court date and speak to a judge and show my license and apologize for accidentally leaving it at home ._.

the way ziggy described Georgia is quite close to Canada, Cali has a pretty messed up judiciary system and this is another prime example of it in action.

Most likely it will get revoked if you don't have much on your record.
I live by a general rule about dealing with police, give them no reason to show up to court, and the generally don't.
I've been pulled over for speeding, not having my head lights on, forgetting to make a turn signal, almost arrested for not having my ID once, because they pulled me over right in front of the place I lived at, I was given a ticket. I can't count the times I've had tickets for anything, most of mine are parking tickets which 98% of the time I've had over thrown.
But good luck Ziggy, in this having the court date pushed so far back is total BS and it may work in your favor as (s)he may not remember it.

Often, Cali isn't considered part of the USA.
Cause they all crazy.

Well like Texans, Californian are Californian first, Americans second which is still lingering thought of our old Independence nation. I am a American but some of the people here are crazy i admit. Still i would never leave cali for any other state just because i can snowboard in the morning, surf in the afternoon and chill in the desert in the evening.
