[color=#006FFF]Nobunaga the Fool has to be the most "anime" anime I've seen since SAO.
Prince-san, what do you mean by that? My Cat's Curiosity is tingling because of it.
Also, hi to Bookih and the lewd Duck.

[color=#006FFF]Haha. Surprised I piqued anyone's curiosity with that. What I mean by that is that both Nobunaga the Fool and Sword Art Online have a certain look and feel to them that just feels, for lack of a better word, generic or typical to me. This is to say that while they have specific or detailed stories and possibly characters, they lack anything recognizably distinct. The styles of the shows aren't the same--I'm not saying that--but they both feel very "anime" in that it feels almost like the creators are looking at a list of tropes that the "typical anime" might have and they're adding in as many as possible.
The easiest way for me to show this in visuals would be this shot from Nobunaga the Fool that I caught when skimming the episode (resulting in me cracking up and having to show my brother because he knows I am about all of this, lol.)

@Bookih: My bad. Added the 'g' now. Have a nice dream, there.
@Prince-san: I see. That's an interesting comment since most people just saying whether they like or dislike the title flatly. I couldn't make it out from your comment, hence it piqued my interest. (Actually, I still can't tell whether you like it or not now)
Thanks for the answer.
@Zammy: Yes, you must. Or I'll send 'something' to haunt you every night forthwith!

[color=#006FFF]Well I've never watched SAO entirely, and I skimmed episodes 1 and 2 of Nobunaga, so I can't rightfully say I hate the series but I guess you could say that I don't like them just because I'm a pretty picky bastard when it comes to watching an anime through and through haha.
For instance, if the art isn't much to my liking, there's a good chance I won't want to watch it. If it's in a genre I have no interest in (e.g. Slice of life, comedy) chances are slim that I'll try it. And then there are the more specific things I look for like, if the cast is compiled of 90% girls, I'll either avoid it or watch it reluctantly (the only exceptions to this are Lucky Star and Azumanga Diaoh because they were the first slice of life/comedies I saw and it didn't feel played out yet). I really hate this lull of "moe moe kyuu" anime we're in right now, with every season having at least 3 "moe" series full of cutesy girls and that's partly why I get really excited about a series when I like it. It's nice to be reminded that not everything (figuratively speaking) is like that.
The only constant exceptions to these rules are that, if it's made by Trigger (especially Imaishi) I will watch it and there's a 99.9% chance of me loving it. If it's made by Shinichiro Watanabe, chances are around 80% that I'll enjoy it (the only one recently that wasn't for me being Kids on the Slope). Other than that, they have to meet certain criteria for me, as harsh as that may seem. I just can't get into anime very easily. Having a unique art style is the thing I'm the biggest sucker for though, easily. I watched Casshern Sins just for that reason at first.
SORRY FOR THE LONG RESPONSE--IT'S A CURSE!
