With the instrumental artist I'm listening to now, I can classify his songs under two archetypes:
1. The heavier, atmospheric ones. If left playing in the background of your life, it will make any menial task seem awesome.
2. The more mellow, softer, ambient ones. This is the type you relax to, and just let the melody and feelings sink in as you drift off.
This could really apply to most songs I listen to. I'd fit Hartes ciel, melenas walasye under 2.

Well, at first listen, category 1 would probably be the most obvious one, but considering the multitude feelings in EVERY Ar Tonelico song, I may have to make a category just for it. :P
Yeah, this would make whatever you're doing seem badass, but you wouldn't be able to concentrate on the lyrics and meaning, therefore making the song lose most of its true purpose.
Also, I am now losing track as to who the composers of the game are. :S

One thing I like about Ar tonelico songs is that I can feel them without actually understanding hymmnos.
Of course, understanding it makes them all the more awesomer.

Yeah, like I said. When I first heard VIENA, it was mainly just the voice and melody, and already I was blown away.

Nothing much. Just dealing with the aftermath of a loss and that's about it.
Aside from the usual life that is.
