The current "situation" of the staff

While all of that is true, I still find it a bit worrysome(?) that the only admins this site had has left, the way I see it I think we could use a mod or two, not an incredible amount but enough to go by.

This and also, I suggest that we should have a new set of mods to help the existing old mods. Yes, few mods can handle the forums for some time, but then they aren't always online 7 days a week.

Yeah I understand. Only the thought of him apologizing for inconvenience caused in eng101 here makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and secured. An awful exaggeration but who cares.

We chuckle at this, but the funny thing is, is that he'd make a really good mod.
If he would WANT to, that is a different story.

Jacob does know both Sindalf and Waar quite well and as far as I know has met them both IRL. Sindalf's integrity shouldn't be taken into question, he has not only headed and organized Fakku's translation team for some time but has also has an extensive history of genuine contributions to western anime culture in general. If you didn't already know he's a timer on board with gg and is one of the best at what he does.

I know from personal experience that everyone currently on the staff team are very talented individuals that are more than capable of handling their responsibilities. I don't think Waar would have stepped down from his position if he honestly thought Fakku's staff was going to have extreme troubles keeping up with what needs to be done. Believe it or not he does genuinely care about the community, at least he did when I was around.

As for Jacob not having time for Fakku, that simply isn't true. I'm sure he still communicates regularly with the rest of the team about current events and the future of the website. You could also just take a gander at his recent posts.

That being said could Fakku use some new staff? Yeah, I think so, but this isn't a process in which you can blindly select someone just because they seem suited for the position and because they seem trustworthy. If any of you were around long enough to remember Hibia, you should already know why, if not do some research.

Knowing Jacob on a very personal level and meeting him IRL is not a requirement to become a moderator, no, I'm not on the staff team and I never have been, maybe it's also wrong of me to speak for them, but from my own experience I know that has never been the deciding factor in who is accepted as a member of the staff.

I remember Waar once saying that Jacob would prefer more moderators like Gambler.

I know all of this and I am in no way questioning Sindalf, I myself know that he is a person that even tho he can joke around a lot and sometimes take things a bit too far he's still responsible with his power and obviously doesn't do it for the title.

I think Gambler seems a bit too soft but that's just me, I'm pretty much always in IB so most things are soft to me.

I.B. is the only place in which I could not see a moderator like Gambler do well, it requires more tsun and less dere. Then again, I.B. has been toned itself down over the years, so I could be wrong.

I dont seem to notice very many problems with moderation, when I do I just report it and it gets taken care of fairly quickly.

Pyre raised a lot of valid points but at the same time I just think it feels wrong that there is literally no admin on Fakku anymore, the only person that could be considered an admin is Jacob, everyone else is Global mod. If you really think about it, there is no person with the title "Fakku Moderator", everyone has "Global Moderator", it might just be me being all iffy but I think there should be atleast one or two admins, I also think that there should be more people that help Jake with updating and fixing the site because as we all know it's in pretty bad condition.


IB has become softer in the years, more so because we tend to just not give a crap about newfags anymore.

Flaser and a few others are helping Jacob update the site. I think Shuugo is one of them if he hasn't left the tech team.

Maybe .. just maybe .... more will leave and then POOF Fakku will disappear ...

I love how we are all having a town hall meeting here on the forums. I think things have been pretty tame here for a while now, not much crazy shit has happened since Illumia posted her skanky ass all over IB. A few new admins would probably be a good idea just to be safe but how do we go about implementing new admins for the forums?

The thing is, we don't. This is all up to Jacob but I just want him to notice that some of us want admins to actually exist, we can't do it by ourself, only he can, but we can try and make him think about this. I just made this thread to remind people that there are no admins right now, none, and that worries me a little. I want people to see what sort of "state" Fakku is in. Not having admins right now isn't such a big deal but I'm a guy that always thinks "what if...", so having atleast one or two admins would be reassuring to me.

So we're pointing fingers eh? Ok then, I vote Ryssen. He's most suited because that guy totally has no life, just look at how much posts he makes in one day. Also artcellrox is all over the place. You can't miss him.

Not pointing fingers at all, hell, I didn't even want people to mention my name as a mod to begin with but I don't really care that much about it. To be honest, Ryssen has other things to worry about with studies and all, so does Art and I really can't see them in any position of power.

Oh guys .. choosing who is best suitable for the job .. in reality we will have no time to be here later because we will someday have to be busy as well.

For stuff like this somebody has to be committed to these kind of things on the long run and also get paid for it .....
