The Ideal Job

How does one define an ideal job? By salary? By benefits? By one's level of happiness at a particular position? My first month into a new job got me thinking, especially on the long bus rides to and fro the office.

Whether you want the damn job or not.

One has got to pay the bills and keep up with other *cough* expenditure *cough*.

All of the above. Most people would say the ideal job is doing what they love for enough money and benefits to suit their needs.

Needs is in bold because no one needs 100 times a comfortable income to be happy.

If the job you're doing is enjoyable in the slightest.

If it lets you fuck bitches brings in an income at the end of it it's ideal. Whether it's one you one to keep doing is another thing.

My Ideal job would be to work at someplace I dont hate, and with good pay.

I'm ok with my current career and pay. I rather win the power ball and do nothing but I do anyways for 2-4 grand per job.

I disagree. An ideal job would be one that you enjoy going to, every fucking day. It would also be one that allows you to live comfortably. With enough cash, benefits and time off as you need/want.

I think it depends on what kind of position one is in to be choosy.

If you have no job, and have never had one, most will sound damn good.

If you have had one but don't now, you might want something you have qualified for more than entry level positions.


Right now, I'm just looking for anything vaguely career oriented and medium tier pay, though benefits would be an added plus.

Decent pay to live alright while covering bills and stuff. And little interaction with idiots.

But imo, the ideal job is one which you enjoy.
Enjoying your job is the most important aspect. If you get a nice pay check, even better.

Good work atmosphere with a good sense of camaraderie amongst your coworkers and boss. You listen to your boss because you respect him- not because you're afraid to get fired.

Pays enough to take care of bare necessities with a little extra for saving.

Long hours, long commutes, and dangerous conditions I'm used to, so I don't really give a crap.

At least the job has to be something you can talk about without having that meh expression.
