The Grey Knight :y
PEDOBEAR! :D
OT: My first and most recent job was working part time in a dining cafe on campus. I loved working there all the time, not just because of the pay (actually earning my money), but the people there were a blast to work with, and actually made the job fun.

An ideal job is something you don't have to drag yourself out of bed to go to. It doesn't necessarily have to be something you love doing, just something that it doesn't bother you to do.
Because when work becomes play, then play becomes work.

I suppose reasonable salary is a must.
Personally, my ideal job consists of learning something new everyday. Unfortunately, in reality, quite a number of jobs revolves around monotony.

As I said, salary doesn't matter that much to me. As long as it's enough to support my living needs (ie, rent/ morgage, food, petrol, etc) then It's good. If there is more, I'm happy. But, actually enjoying the job and people come first, imo.

I am working as a procurement executive for a restaurant chain right now. There are new things to learn. However, on the other side of the coin, some duties are very routine and tedious.
I suppose I have to strike a balance. ^_^;;

Learning on the job is practically banned, these days. You gotta have certificate this, certificate that, and about fifteen degrees in eggheadmania.
That's the problem with the unemployment and education system- too regulated.
You spend about 4-5 years getting certified for some bullshit, but still can't get the job because you don't ave any work experience- or you've been working for the past ten years, but now allasudden people want a certificate from some institution to prove that you're able to do what you've been doing for the past ten years.
Incur massive debt and get a useless degree, or get denied work because more and more employers want the degree.
Unless you've been working part-time in the field you end up getting the degree in so you can have both the degree and the experience- you're boned.
One of my friends has done exactly that and he still can't get a job either. One of the smartest dudes I know.
Sorry for the rant, been unemployed for a few months now and it's pissing me off.

Considering what you are now, do you have to drive at all? Isn't it tiring going through foodstuffs and kitchenware? And does it get hectic when one branch runs out of a particular item?
I mean as long as your paid right for your position, the restaurant biz is a hectic place to be.
