Certain internet groups (you know who you are) are quite adept at making even checking your own mail a very risky prospect.

[font=verdana][color=green]Shopping online, per say, doesn't have much to do with it broadly. If you shop at the right places, then there's nothing to worry about. I frequently shop online, but I've never had any problems with viruses or the like. The problem is that, sometimes, when you join an online site, they'll sell your information to the next person, who would then send you spam and such - resulting in viruses.

Of course, browsing dodgy sites doesn't help either. Of course, having a decent anti-virus works wonders as well, like AVG or avast (both of which are free, but are just as good, if not better, then certain ones you pay for (read: Norton and McAfee)).
