Hello, I will be your moderator for this upcoming debate. I want to welcome everyone to this, the 2013 new mod debate. Here I will ask the applicants a number of hypothetical and policy questions and all candidates will be given a chance to respond. If you aren't a candidate please dont post in this thread, and if you have any questions of your own that you'd like me to ask feel free to pm them to me. I am a moderator, not a judge and so I will not score your answers, it's up to the user base to judge how well you did. A reminder: This is no way has any bearing on who becomes an actual mod, it's just for fun people. I will try to ask questions every couple of hours and the candidates are free to answer any way they wish, candidates may also rebut any responses they wish to, but keep it to one rebuttal please, and keep this civil ladies and gentlemen, this isn't SD.

It's a place for shitstorms, circle jerks, feet, and certain other things.

Question #1: In order to answer this question we must first ask ourselves why did Jacob create Fakku? I believe Nikon told him to, but regardless I see IB as a sub-forum section that rips on other sections for their amusement. But IB has its moments that bring us together to take down 1 user or users. Now I'm not saying we should change IB because of its shit posters, all I'm saying is that shit exist. Now back to your question. I think IB is a personal blog for shit stories or shit stuff that is open to everybody who can handle the smell.

Question #2: Moderators are like a hamburger, you've got your Bottom Bun, Mustard, Catsup, Meat, Cheese, Tomato, Onion, Lettuce, Mayonnaise, Pickles, Bacon, Ranch, Barbecue Sauce, Spicy Sauce, Semen and Top Bun. with a side of Drink, Salad, and Spaghetti. With great power comes great responsibility that will be monitored by other moderators. Some examples can be taken by Gambler and Tegumi. Others such as Kaimax and Waar.

#1: IB is a place to post stupid shit and is also everyone's personal blog. Oh well, it can't be helped.
#2: My role as moderator is to lay down the b& when they need to be and to move stupid threads to their rightful place. Seriously that shit is annoying.
#3: New users to IB should be treated according to how they act. If they're a raging fagmonkey, then they deserve all they get. If they at least show some semblance of intelligence and social aptitude, they should be able to transition in with few injuries. However, if the user is the former, then, yeah I'd tell them to lurk more. A lot more. Maybe even link them to people who they shouldn't imitate.

New users should take the Jane Goodall approach to I.B. and learn through observation. We've all got lives (most of us, anyways) and don't have the time to tutor greenhorns. They've got to find their own way.
First rule of course is tough skin; when we tell you to get the fuck out, don't cry like a bitch or make pathetic attempts to troll- just get the fuck out and lurk more.
Or just actually get the fuck out. If repeated attempts of mingling here don't work out, it simply means we are not of your kind. Just like any social circle. You'll know if you don't fit in, so try somewhere else. Fakku has tonnes of other sections. Your people are out there- it is up to you to find them.
