I don't really recommend World in Conflict. I play it casually when I am bored for like 15 - 20 minutes. Than I mostly leave frustrated, as everyone is trying to give orders and not a single soul listens. As for World of Warcraft: It is meh! I hate it now. It was fun until Burning Crusade came out and Blizzard decided to pretty much throw out all the things that made it fun. 40 Man raids, difficult raids that required coordination and "skil" (as far as skill in a game like WoW can go) and my hatred #1 goes against the thing named "resilience". *nasty growl while fletching the teeth and drooling on the floor*
Taken to consideration. As for WoW my friends all tried to get me into it, but as a GW player I was trained to hate the game. XD Besides it cost $15 a month. There is a lot of hate between the gamers supposedly... >.>

The problem in WoW is that in the beginning, it was a bit more "difficult" to play and thus those people that had higher aims were able to separate themselves from the rather annoying "kids". However as Blizzard decided to "lower the standards", World of Warcraft ended up like the American school system. Utterly broken and beyond hope.
To get back to World in Conflict: The single player campaign is awesome and they did a good job on it. The problem is it is way too short and you can only play the American side of the story and not the one of the USSR. That means after a while you have to resort to the multiplayer mode. The idea behind it is pretty neat, just that you either have to be in a clan (means active all the time and not casual) or you are stuck getting frustrated by the amount of people that play without strategy.
As an example: Instead of sacrificing 2 units while waiting for the airstrike to come and drop 9 helicopters, many tend to just run away with their army, right into the next spot of conflict, thus creating a major chaos. Even funnier is incase an infantry player runs again and again into the area with poison gas instead of just trying to go around it *sigh*.

Lol, crazy Blizzard. Yeah, my friends complained about the same thing.
I hate noobs... They're even worse than newbs... They've played for a while, but they never pick up on the tactics and just play to frustrate the experienced gamers... That is pretty funny though that they don't avoid it and stuff.
