Depending on slight variations in the CPU it can take running rather hot, or it can burn. And if your CPU burns and your unlucky which you mostly are; you are going to be in the arsed position that you have to buy a new mainboard aswell.
Incase you have an Nvidia graphiccard chances are that you can find tools / got a tool for overclocking with your card that gives you an introduction and tells you the max possible specc with your cooler ect.
I am in general against overclocking as long as you don't have an awesome cooling system which keeps your CPU under 60°C. Not to mention that it is one thing to keep a system stabile in the winter but in the summer with general temperature rise... you might be in trouble.
EDIT: My own system runs on 48°C atm and I got about 32°C room temperature and it is fine. Don't overclock unless you really have to.

if that is a hint to get liquid cooled sysetem im very jubious about them considering your puting a LIQUID into your com

Also cases aren't unheard off where an overclocked CPU required more power due to extra cooling and performance "over the limit", than a CPU on the next size, so you might want to try to find out what is cheaper for you in the long run. With prices for electricity increasing, you might end up in a spot where it is better to just upgrade your CPU.

It'd be nice if my laptop had liquid cooling. It's get to be really hot and sometimes it does shut down too.
I got another fan that I sit under it to try and help with the heat issue...
It's not too hot right now fortunately. Probably because I am not playing my game or something though.

Nice :) As I am not depending on my laptop I didn't assamble anything like a fan network to place the laptop. Regarding the heat: The polar bear genes in me are crying for a nice cool place at the moment. Everything above 20°C and beyond outside is considered too warm (note: I like sauna's etc though in the winter)

You think anything over that is hot? I think that's a little too cold for me to be honest. I like it at about 23°C/75°F
Right now though it's about a nice scorching 40°C/104°F outside.
I think I'll go fry an egg on the sidewalk...
Oh and if anyone needs a Celsius/Fahrenheit converter you can just use this.

Well... we got ridiculous 35°C here at the moment and I lost track of the cans of ice coffee i consumed in the last days.
Seriously I am beginning to wonder if in the future the eastern sea will develop into the Mediterranean sea due to global warming.
Edit: ... Though I guess it is just as bad as it is for me at the moment due to the lack of water :P ... anyone else here who enjoys watersports? :D

I bet you have humidity too which makes it feel even hotter. Lucky us we have little to no humidity at all times.
Watersports?
Well I like swimming and boating with my family. Jet-skiing and water-skiing (more like water-crashing for me lol ) are a lot of fun. I prefer the inner tube trailing the boat than trying to wake-board or water-ski. I am not very coordinated. lol
I do sunburn very easily though and have gotten really sunburned these past few weeks from being outside so much. Dx
I am so freaking pale...I am prone to skin cancer very easily. I tend to avoid going outside whenever possible. xD
----------------------------
We do a lot of other activities that aren't in the water too. I can dirtbike. I have a quad that my dad bought for me. I am better on that than the dirtbike though. Camping sometimes. I am not much a camper though, my dad and brother do that way more than me. Bleh...

:O Wouldn't have thought that another person who is into watersports is around in the threat. Well no fair for only making others show their cards when it comes to hobbies...
My hobbies:
Sailing, rowing, diving, swimming, playing piano, guitar, e-guitar, taking large walks (with or without dogs), spacing out in the middle of nowhere incase it is a nice spot etc.
Indoor hobbies: Gaming, working with Photoshop / After Effects, preparing for studies on German / English teacher, being a "geek" with cultural knowledge :P
EDIT: Forgot to mention photographing and watching the sunset / dawn every now and than. Yes I am a shy romantic
