Mmmm. Reminds me of SW:RC when you find lighsaber: Ah. An elegant weapon from better times? Well guess what: Times have changed.
EDIT: Still Russia in times of USSR have more stronger army than the US if we talk in numbers of weaponry, vehicles and armed service...

Red Army is almost non-existant by 2000s, save for few elite divisions I think.
To not make it long history essay, it was wiped out.
Ahhh, that game...never played it, but I heard it was quite good.

What I had a problem with the game was a few technical innaccuracies with the guns. The rifle had an ammo count of 30 or so rounds a magazine(if my memory is correct) but in the Star Wars universe, standard DC-15 rifles held enough Tibana gas to fire 200 or so rounds each cartrige

Yeah that's the difference between DC-15 and DC-17 which is standard armament for Commandos. You have DC-15s (sidearm model), DC-17 and than various guns that you can pick up.

A different gas?
I don't know but 60 rounds sounds pretty acceptable. Taking a look at it, it seems the catrige is considerable smaller than the DC-15s catridge. Probably a feature purposely made for Commandos to easily carry them.

Yep. The DC-15 fires plasma bolts, but DC-17 ion pulses. Not to mention DC-17 has been created for Special-ops.

DC-15s is a sidearm pistol. DC-15 is a rifle used by clone troopers. So I'm kinda confused now.. ^^'

DC-15S (with capital) is the carbine version of the DC-15A which is the full sized rifle. You don't see it until Ep 3 and is the predecessor of the Storm trooper E-11 Blaster rifle.

I very much like the DC-15S. A fun fact, they used British Sterling SMGs as props for the E-11 blaster and therefore also based the DC-15S on it as well. Same went with the rebel's blaster rifle which was based on the Sturmgehwer 44

Yeah. Well I'm really found on DC-17. Mostly because it's an interchangeable system with rifle, sniper rifle and AA grenade launcher. :)
