No problem, come out from observation mode again soon.@Lance, British Army has recently started to do Joint Training with many European countries(On account of most of their military starting to pull out of Afghan, they're starting to focus on ensuring preparedness of other countries), maybe you'll be able to witness a demonstration of their L115A3s if they ever come.
Yeah I read about JTE with French on BBC. Annually there is a NATO day here in CZ where Americans take B-52 to show off (guys I know who are doing Mil-sim of American Army even wore their uniforms and were allowed to go inside because of that) and it's really cool, but It's on the opposite side of our country and I don't really have much money to spend...

Hmm, so what do any of you (whoever is still here) think of the new gun laws in the US?
That and also the school shootings?

More restrictions... that wont stop people from obtaining these things illegaly. Why not have higher sentences for the people who abuse these laws instead?! Texas has the most lax gun laws and yet they have less shooting than alot of these other states. :/

Well here we have (I share similar opinion with my instructor) really reasonable gun laws here. As far as the new laws go I hear about it for the first time. I'm also not at home so I will provide further comment on this topic either on 25th or 26th.

Well, I might as well speak my piece as well.
Personally, I don't really like this new gun law, it restricts law abiding citizens and criminals willing enough are just able to smuggle in weapons anyway. To Asuzu's note, most countries that have relaxed gun laws do in fact have less gun related crimes. Take Switzerland for example, not only does their government issue rifles to every adult in their country, they also train them to handle the weapons and they have the lowest rate of gun-related violence.
And the school shootings, while unfortunate, I feel could have been better if the school had better counter measures to such things rather than just hide in the corner of the class and wait to get killed.

Oh well, savor the wait while you can, I guess. Personally, I'm not much of a Christmas person anyway, those were just regards from Kei.

oh i see i see. Ima be spending christmas like its a normal day. I work today and the day after. I will be sleep most of the day, doing my hair the rest of that day. Dont feel like going anywhere so i wont most likely xD

Haha, same. I don't figure I will be doing anything significant for Christmas, maybe try cooking some soba and other stuff(because the climate here is annoyingly hot) and that's probably it.

Hmm, it's already well into Christmas day for me, I don't reckon I'll sleep tonight. Gotta reset my body clock.

Heh, I have a long ways ahead before school starts again, this is just so I can make the most of my time on holiday.
EDIT @0745: So much like what Kei went through, I've braved through the night of Christmas Eve and into Christmas day without a wink of sleep, I've got a pitcher of ice coffee next to me and once I chug that all down, I might as well go for a run in the park.
EDIT @0841: Lesson of the Day: Do not have a dominantly liquid breakfast before going on a run. You are guaranteed to throw up, suffer from headache and collapse of dehydration. In retrospect, I wish I had at least a slice of toast before I went. . . but I was out of bread. . .

Already seen that before, was interesting to watch then. Slava Soyuz.
On another note, quite sad to hear that another veteran has yet left us yet again. This is from Military Minds, an organisation that tries to support soldiers who suffer from PTSD.
Tim told me that the best therapy he's received in his life was "talking with you fuckers" that meant a lot to me especially from him, and the era he came from.
Tim wanted nothing more than to be home for Christmas this year, but sadly he passed away on Dec 24th at 2100 from liver and kidney failure. (Years of self medication)
Tim brother, watch over us, whisper your messages to us, we will honor you in every way we can. You will live through the Military Minds spirit, wherever we go, you come with us, your demons have been hushed. Until we meet again my friend, until we meet again. RIP

Sadly another one of Military Minds members has passed on. Tim Carr was an advocate for PTSD awareness and military minds. He was from the "old school" brand of the military, when visiting him in hospital I quickly realized how much of a crusty ol fucker he was, when I asked what room Tim was at, the nurses didn't even have to look him up, they knew exactly who I was talking about lol, as they rolled there eyes.
